Used this as a convenient stay over to attend a function locally. It was much better than expected. We were able to use the swimming pool and sauna before we went out. We had a lunch in the bar which was reasonably priced and good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice and hot, great selection fruit yoghurt cereal and full English with tea and coffee. I would use this hotel again

It was a nice get away weekend, the food was very nice, very tasty , the room was small and cold, we had 2 windows and the draft kept coming in the room. Staff were nice, they served us politely but unless you are British born and bred … we felt like we were intruders.
We talked our language and we got pretty intense eyes looking at us ( mind you we were whispering)
The guy from the reception was very nice and kind he talked to us a little bit , bless him.

Reading reviews prior to staying would totally disagree. We had an amazing time great value for money. Room was modern, clean, tidy and lovely and warm as outside was -4. Breakfast included in stay was delicious multiple options available. Swimming pool and sauna also included within stay heated pool. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Great golf (played many rounds over the years) in beautiful countryside.
It is a spacious hotel and has great staff.
We've been here on the last two New Year's Eve functions (good fun.)
The decor could do with some updating, but not to the point where it would stop us from going there.

I visited with my girlfriend for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. A special shout-out to Sienna, who was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond—truly an asset to the hotel.||We noticed there wasn’t enough towels in our room, but after mentioning it to reception, the issue was resolved within three minutes and they were very apologetic —it did feel like a genuine mistake so it wasn't a big deal. The room was spotless, and the breakfast was amazing!||I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning in the future.

Lovely settings and right on their great golf course. The facilities are good especially the gym and swimming pool.
The food was also very well presented and dinning room staff were great.

It's fine. Clearly seen better days by the rather ancient television and very worn brass work around the place.

I had a towel with an orange brown smear and the tissues hadn't been restocked properly but otherwise quite pleasant.

Everyone I dealt with was a professional and very courteous to special needs, any problems with the hotel are clearly ownership or management based.

Stayed one night here. Room was fine, had everything we needed, but could have been cleaned better.. Nothing strictly awful, but toilet had skid marks and there were a few unpleasant hairs left in the en-suite. Bed was about what we excepted, but we could feel every spring in the mattress…
