This is an excellent self-catering chalet suitable for two people. The owners, John and Jackie, are a friendly and welcoming couple who keep the property spotless. There are 3 pubs in the village and the Jempson’s’ supermarket and fuel station a very short drive away. The facilities in the chalet were very good, comfortable bed, beautifully soft towels and a large shower cubicle; in essence, everything we needed for a short break close to Great Dixter Gardens and Perch Hill Farm. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Stayed in 'The Retreat' for one night. Much bigger than we thought it would be. Immaculate. John very welcoming and provided a pint of milk in the fridge which we thought was very thoughtful. We only stayed one night, but could definitely have stayed longer. Small outside space, which was perfect to sit and have our morning coffee. Pub next door, with an extensive menu.||Very peaceful. Linen and towels excellent.

Excellent Accomodation in a beautiful location. The views across the pond are relaxing. The accom is comfortable and freshly decorated with lots of lovely finishing touches. Convenient location and easy to reach the sights in the region. Great hosts- super helpful!

Well what can we say... came here in October and had a nice break but there was an issue, Jackie and John could have done more and asked us to return. What I lovely couple!! |And, what a difference! Newly refurbished and fantastic!! If you are looking for a quiet break in a little piece of paradise then come stay here! Food pub within feet and all you can ask for in this, not so little studio with garden! Still wondering how you made it so much bigger, with just a small extension Rye is a delight, with great shops and restaurants. Shame they don't allow dogs, we'd be here all the time! Thanks for a great break!

The 'log cabin' Pond View is wonderful, equipped with everything you need. The garden and pond are beautiful. You can spend many restful || hours watching the fish and birds. The situation is perfect for visiting various places. Pashley Manor gardens were beautiful even in the rain. Jackie and John are friendly and excellent hosts.

Pondview is a lovely ,peaceful & cosy place to stay. The renovations are outstanding & even more cosier than before. John & Jackie are great hosts & very thoughtful with the milk & shortbread on arrival. Have been here twice and will be back .Carl and Julie .my husband looks at john like his father.

Ideal little stay, good value...all very self contained. We only stayed for 1 night, which was perfect as our base. It was lovely and warm on arrival with fresh milk in the fridge to make a cuppa as soon as we got there. The owner was friendly and helpful. Only downside was the parking, not a major problem however for a less confident driver it could be. Thank you, I would recommend.
