We've just spent a few days at Woodside Ridge Caravan Park, and this is a site we will certainly be visiting in future.
The staff are welcoming and friendly, the facilities are immaculate, and the pitches are a good size, which are well maintained with nicely divided hedging.
This is a family site which welcome well behaved children, dogs, (and adults), which helps create the peacefulness enjoyed by all of the guests staying here.
After a busy day out and about exploring the nearby coastline, this certainly is a great place to come back and kick back and relax with a cup of tea and a good book!!

What an amazing little site. From the first phone call right through to when we left, I cannot say a bad word about this site. Everyone was really friendly and so helpful. The facilities were very good. Drinking water easily accessible, they even have a little shop which sells fresh eggs. Just seven miles out of Durham, it has easy access to the city as well as the main roads. But it feels so good to come back to the quiet green space to hear the birds singing and children laughing. Cant wait to go back.

Stayed here for two nights and what can i say, what a lovely campsite. Pitches were big, was a little worried as have a large tent but the pitch size was more than enough:). The toilet facilities were immaculate, the pitch was clean and well maintained and the park overall was well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival, the permanent residence on the site were also very friendly and other campers. As we was only there for the great north run and only stayed for two night we didnโt get time to have a walk in the woodlands or the local areas. We want to see more of durham and the surrounding towns so we will definitely be returning:)

We stayed here in March to try out our new caravan, we needed somewhere local and chose Woodside for the easy access and location.|On arrival we were left to set up on the pre advised pitch and then allowed to check in later, check in is easy , the lady was nice and pleasant with some kindly advice and guidance.|The site is well spaced so you wonโt feel like you are on top of each other, the pitches are generous and hard standing or grass pitches available, the central green area gives an open feel to the site and improvements were evidently ongoing while we where there. There is a small play park for children and an enclosed picnic area. The usual caravan site facilities available EHU for each pitch, a few water points so not to far from each pitch, chemical waste point and recycling point. The shower block is well maintained and very clean although there is only one shower in each ladies and gents so may get busy in the summer time.|Location is good for access to Durham city or Sunderland, Beamish is not to far.|All in all a pleasant site.

One of the best sites we have been on, just basic hard/grass standing n elec hook up, vending machine in reception, gas sales, small play area for children, management polite n helpful, site well maintained, wild life viewed.

This site is quiet, well kept, with clean toilets and showers, and a lovely welcome when you arrive. The pitch sizes are ample. We would definitely return if the incessant barking dogs next door calmed down. This kept us awake at night sadly, and there was nothing we could do.

Very friendly and helpful staff, quiet site. It was lovely to hear children playing during the day, Ice cream van came in the afternoon, with a fish and chip van visiting on Friday's at 18.00. Good facilities, you might want non slip shoes if using the shower, available in the shop too. Other campers and caravan were friendly too.
