I cannot speak more highly of our stay with Sean and Corinna. Right from the outset they made us feel at home and were highly helpful. Our breakfast included homemade bread and marmalade with a delightful garden vista to drink in the morning view while having breakfast. Our room was well appointed, clean, quiet and accommodating. The location being so close to Sissinghurst Castle was a delight. Local pubs were easily accessible for tea. A peaceful location to invigorate the soul. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We were not disappointed. We had three very comfortable nights here. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was spacious with everything we needed. A lovely spacious shower room. Delicious homemade bread fresh each day with homemade marmalade, fresh eggs and more with good coffee. We were invited to take breakfast in the garden if we wished but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough.||The situation was perfect for our needs being only five minutes drive from Sissinghurst and not far from Great Dixter. As we were so close we were able to go back to Siisinghurst for the last hour of opening after having been to Great Dixter for the rest of the day. This meant we had parts of the garden entirely to ourselves.||Altogether a most enjoyable stay.

A really special romantic getaway in the Kent countryside, which more than matched up to the description and photos. We particularly loved the well thought out breakfast which included homemade marmalade...a really lovely touch. It is well located for Sissinghurst Castle, which we visited, and also for sampling some of the many excellent local restaurants and gastropubs in the area. We loved using it as a base to explore this extraordinarily beautiful part of Kent, which is very easily accessible from London, and yet felt a world away. Sean and Corinna where perfect hosts, attentive but not intrusive, and we will definitely be booking to come again!

Our four day break to Godwin House was truly delightful. We loved the garden cottage and the wonderful gardens to look out on early morning. The accommodation had everything and more than you would get in an ordinary B & B. Freshly baked bread, home made marmalade. Eggs with an electric egg boiler, so easy. We cannot praise it enough and the owners were so friendly and helpful. We will always remember it as a time when we needed peace and quiet. Thank you......

We arrived last-minute at Godwin House and without a booking. Regardless, the proprietor Sean fitted us in with good humour and little effort, all the while providing helpful information about sites to visit and eats in the area. The self-contained accomodation was a lovely mixture of rustic charm and modern convenience, and breakfast was sensational, including home-made bread! We couldn't be happier with our stay and thoroughly recommend it.

This place took my breath away. Nestled far enough away from civilization, it was an oasis after quite a long day. The cabin itself is beautiful with a sinfully comfortable bed and a view that made me want to sit at the window the entire time I was there. The grounds are very well maintained and hold many hidden secrets begging to be discovered. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay memorable, including a hand drawn map for the walk back to town. The breakfast provided was sublime and I will absolutely put it on my list of places to return to should we find ourselves in the area in the future.

Godwin House is a B&B nestled behind hedges hard on the Tenterden Road. It offers a garden cottage that is very cozy and excellently appointed with modern comforts in a country cottage setting. Views of the garden from the cottage windows are beautiful. Sean Holden is the proprietor and is just great, Full of information and just great to talk to. Come stay here and you will be very happy.

Lovely setting and privacy with all comforts. We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Nice touches like flowers on the table, linen napkins, homemade marmalade and good coffee. Easy to find; peaceful location and helpful hosts for local tips. Very relaxing and highly recommended.
