This a delightful house in the very traditional English village of Burwash Weald. Linda the host/owner lives downstairs and prepares grand breakfasts (fresh eggs, mushrooms, Canadian bacon, and tomatoes) for her guests. She is really a bright and pleasant person. Clean, quiet, and restful place for a few days as we visited a friend who has retired near there. This is a rural area, so you may see a few horses clomping past in the morning. Sheep graze in the nearby meadows. There are somewhat steep stairs up to the guest rooms and limited parking, but we were fine. Enjoyable stay!|

We had a lovely one night stay here. Linda and her wonderful family that included very friendly cats, dogs and horses, were fantastic hosts. The room was large and comfortable, and the views from our room were amazing.
There are some good pubs nearby, within walking distance, but take a torch if you intend to return in the dark as it is pitch black in the countryside .

Lynda is indeed an extremely charming and friendly host.
The rooms and bathroom are ok and clean, but it has aged.
The breakfast offers a variety of bread and cooked meals, but very standard, nothing fancy like you get in some other places.
We had a good stay, but the extremely high scores I saw here and on some other Booking site actually set my expectations to higher levels before arrival.

This one night stay was exactly what I was looking for on my way to Eastbourne the next day. The room was perfect with lovely countryside views in a quiet location. Linda could not have been a nicer host and this was a real home from home in a delightful setting. There are lots of good pubs nearby for evening meals and I would plan to return if possible for 2 or 3 days to explore the area.

Had a lovely stay at this gorgeous cottage the lady was a gem .Nice a peaceful lovely pub in the village. A lovely breakfast 😋 my partner and i really injoy it. Nice view over the country side 👌 will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay 😘

Lovely countryside cottage. Peaceful and quiet, yet a short stroll into the village with local pubs.||Gorgeous breakfast ..... decent wifi.||The postcode took me to an address slightly down the hill. |Look for the Union Jack on the fence ... that is the house you want !
