I took my friend here for her birthday. We were both totally satisfied with the food, service and environment.
Staff were attentive but not invasive. Polite and friendly.
Menu was adequate with a sensible range of items that didn’t leave you undecided.
The house wine was very good.
My main was a T-bone steak and it was cooked to perfection.

We visited The Print House for my partner's birthday, staying for two nights in The Author's Suite and doing the Chapel Down tasting & tour experience. It was fabulous – Seonaid couldn't do enough for us, organising everything and even ringing to check we were okay with the drive, given how icy it was when we arrived. ||The food was delicious (we had breakfast both mornings and a dinner on evening), and the atmosphere was just lovely. Cosy, country pub – very warm, very welcoming. ||The room was really comfortable, absolutely huge bed which we slept very well in, and a log fire in the room to keep us toasty. ||Hetty the dog downstairs was a bonus! ||My partner is already talking about when we can go back again, surely the best recommendation I can give!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for one night with the Chapel Down package. Sufficient parking for 3 cars outside and public parking not far away. The taxi was on time, great tour, returned to a log fire in the comfortable lounge area, then had an excellent meal in the bar area in the evening. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was very nice. Above all the host/manager, Seonaid was fantastic. Would recommend a stay.

An absolute gem of a place!
The pub itself is full of character, the bedrooms are really comfortable and have everything you need for an overnight stay (or longer).
Seonaid and her team (especially Yvette) were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay.
Can't wait to visit again - hopefully in sunnier, warmer weather so we can enjoy the garden.

Such a lovely overnight stay at the Print House! We was welcomed by Seonaid who went the extra mile at recommending my now new favourite wine along with a tour of the building & our room which was all decorated to such a high standard! We had a beautiful dinner & sat by the fire which was so chilled & relaxing! The rooms had everything you needed to enjoy a lovely nights stay & it’s surrounded by a lovely stretch of shops/restaurants/bars! We will definitely be returning!

We booked a last minute table for a family birthday dinner for our son (who was turning 12), Shona accommodated us no problem! We’ve been wanting to try the Print House for a while and were not disappointed! The place itself is lovely with a really welcoming feel and wonderful ambience (even on a Monday night when most places are pretty dull), the staff were friendly and attentive and they made us feel special and really made the occasion, especially for the kids, despite it being quite a ‘grown up’ place. The food was excellent, with a good selection of wines a menu created from great quality locally sourced produce. Overall, an excellent experience, we’re just sorry we hadn’t been sooner, but will be returning again very soon for sure! Thank you for a great evening.

We stayed for 1 night. We live sort of locally but wanted a night away somewhere different. Wecbooked one room, but when the owner say I used a crutch, she kindly moved us into a different room that had a walk in shower, which was very considerate. ||The room was very good,and 5he bed was large and comfy, but as to be expected there was some traffic noise, but that didn't worry us, although they provide ear plugs if you want to use them. The room was cold after having the heating on for 3 hours, but this was because the room hadn't been expected to be used. We mentioned this when going down for dinner and full marks to them, they put a electric heater in the room and it was very cosy by the time we got back -good customer service. ||As I said we had dinner there which was very good as was breakfast the following morning and had no complaints about the stay overall. Well done and keep up the good work.

This is a lovely little hotel with a smashing owner, Seonaid, and a fantastic chef. We stayed last night after a Chapel Down vineyard tour (also highly recommended- the hotel does a great package deal!). We had a delicious dinner at the hotel after drinks in the charming salon with log burner. Lovely husband had the soup followed by excellent meatballs and I had the duck pate followed by a very tasty fish pie. We both had the sticky toffee pud - wicked and moreish. The wine list is very good and of course they sell the splendid Chapel Down fizz! The continental breakfast was also very good indeed.
The bed was comfy, the room was cosy and the decor throughout is welcoming and just a bit quirky, which we loved.
It is in the perfect location for vineyard tours, National Trust houses, gardens and castles and beautiful Rye and the seaside are within easy reach.
We highly recommend this gem with its friendly team and welcoming ambiance.
