Really disappointed!
The room, and especially the shared toilet, was dirty and seemed that no one had taken care of it. There were 9 opened different kinds of shampoos just on the floor of the shower container, which seems to be for previous residents. There is dust everywhere in the room. The bed is so uncomfortable, and you can feel the strings in your back.
The door handles are broken and useless, and the place looks damped.

Heed every warning and bad review you see on here! We were not given the kind of room we booked and had to walk half a kilometer from the provided "parking space" to another guest house. The only not disgusting thing about the rooms were the beds (thank GOODNESS), but everything else was dirty and the fridge was rusty and SO covered in mould from the inside; one of my greatest regrets in life now is having opened that portal to a disgusting hell. Same for the bathroom and the shower which was so mouldy that it must pose a health hazard. Don't stay here, this is such a scam.

This guest house was comfortable, clean, and convenient, and does not deserve the negativity it has received. ||News flash, you have to pay hotel prices for an actual hotel. ||Check in was unconventional but easy. The establishment looks a bit run down but was perfectly tidy and clean and comfortable. We were two young women and felt perfectly safe. It is located downtown close to many resources and the O2, which was great because we were out for a music gig. We didn't realized we were going to need to stay overnight until the day before and were happy to find something affordable and close by last minute. ||It is a perfect location for young travelers who just need a convenient, affordable place to sleep. If you want a luxury hotel, go there instead of ruining the rep of people just trying to make a living. ||I would 100% stay here again if I find myself in Oxford again.

If it was possible to give 0 stars, we would. My partner stayed here with his mates at the end of May, and the place was so disgusting that he kept his clothes/suitcase in the car. Yes, it's cheap, but at what cost the place is a health violation. Everything was dirty, falling apart, and there were cockroaches. There were dogs barking and lots of noise throughout the night. I have no idea how this place is allowed to stay open.

Don't ignore the other reviews. This place is not worthy of two stars.

Old worn out bedding with holes. Moody shower trays. Damp smelling interior. Cockroaches everywhere.

You'll be taken into the "reception" to pay then be directed to one of several old houses within a 5 minute walk. Here you will be greeted with the worst room you have stayed in in the UK.

However that said. It was cheap. If you can handle all of the above and you just need a place to sleep that isn't a hostel. This will probably fit that bill.

This guest house is a disgrace. Cockroaches in my room at night. I've contacted the hotel and they don't want to refund me, oh yes they do, they'll refund me £20 which is about 25% of the price of the night if I remove my bad comment on booking, which is called blackmail, go away!
they also dared to claim to booking that I had never shown up for check-in, which is not true.

Avoid. Rooms are old and dirty. Was asked to collect key from different location 100m away. Asked to fill out forms with personal details although booked on website. Shower was just a drubble. TV not working. No parking onsite.

The owner called me the day of check in to tell me I wouldn’t be staying in the main house. I had tried unsuccessfully to email and call the owner that day earlier about leaving my bags there before check in but the phone line rang out. Upon arrival at the guest house, there was no one there. A “manager” came out of her downstairs bedroom. Despite me having already paid, herself and another man spoke in another language for 10 mins about payment and worked on a cash machine while I just stood there. Eventually they gave me a key and told me to walk 3 mins to the next house. Both houses stank of weed and were incredibly dirty. The heating was on full blast in my room the entire three days that I was there. The bathroom stand of cigarettes. Everything was dirty and old. The walls were so thin and you could hear everything going on in the room next door. In the kitchen, there were barking any utensils. The shelves in some cupboards had completely fallen in. The sitting room/ dining area consisted of mismatched furniture, again , old and dirty. I received a call at 10pm by the owner again on the first night to remind me to not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet as my toilet was “special” and he didn’t want it to get blocked. |The ad and website says there is breakfast provided- massive lie. |It was the worst over night stay in my life
