Amazing one night stay, fabulous setting, very restful and an incredibly warm welcome awaited us. Valerie made our stay so easy from taking us to our destination and picking us up, to providing late night toast, the room was very lovely, the bed comfortable and the breakfast incredible! Definitely one to visit

A good 'off the beaten track' B&B in the Yorkshire countryside. I stayed in a small but comfortable room. The property was clean and homely. Has a shared guest bathroom which was fine as I was the only guest there during my stay. As usual I had a vegetarian breakfast that I ordered the night before. Cooked fresh and very tasty. Great coffee! Great host. Recommended.

Important context: My experience was a 1 night stay and does not represent this establishment in it's entirety. No-one in hospitality sets out to provide a poor experience. Anyone can have an off day

Wonderful place, very welcoming owners. I like everything about it. The old style furnishings, the wooden staircase, I family dining table, the Christmas tree, etc. It all says home. For me it felt like staying in a friend’s place not a hotel. The small things were what made me feel comfortable. For example although the room was a single, the bed was wide, there was a large window and a comfortable sofa facing the window to sit and enjoy the lovely view. It had a shared bathroom but it was large and spotless. Had the breakfast in the dining room on a large wodden dining table with proper serving set. Everything was perfect for what I like; the large coffee, the sweetener next to the sugar, the milk instead of creamer, even the radio playing classical music. It just felt so comfortable like home. I travel a lot and stay in many places and I can distinguish between genuine and artificial hospitality. This is as genuine experience as it gets. You really feel the care in the place. Around you see the graduation and family photos. All in all this is one of the most comfortable places I have stayed in. I would recommend it everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Thank you for the owners for making me feel welcome.

Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful, quiet location set in peaceful farmland. The house is gorgeous with great attention to detail. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and cater for every need. This is a family home and as such is clearly cared for and very well maintained. The central staircase is awesome, around which the house has been built. A super base for any visit to this part of the North.

We recently stayed for 5 days and wish it had been longer. The room was fabulous. The attention to detail is amazing ? Everything from top quality linen to beautiful tableware. Nothing was too much trouble for Valerie and Chris who were the most fantastic hosts. This will definitely spoil you for any other room.

Visited the area for a family funeral, the owner Val could not be more accommodating, went above and beyond fit us throughout our stay, really friendly and kind. The bedrooms were really nicely done and well cared for, breakfast lovely and it was pretty location, nice run/walk from the B&B. Highly recommend and can't thank Val enough for the care she took of us whilst we stayed.

Had a really nice stay at Lillium House. The room was very well appointed with a fantastic view through the bi-fold window. Due to the remote location there was no noise and it was a lovely peaceful night. I would recommend the place again.

This is a beautiful and quirky house, and we had a warm welcome from Valerie. We stayed in the Margaret room (pictured) which is amazing, and we had an excellent breakfast in the lovely dining room. A very lovely B&B off the beaten track.
