Staying here whilst attending an event at the NEC was a pleasure. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and all furniture, fixtures and fittings were in good condition and well thought out to meet customer needs e.g. power points next to the bed for phone charging and light switches within arm's reach. The bar and dining area is light and spacious. Breakfast was freshly prepared, hot and well presented. There was just the right amount of choice e.g. yoghurts, juices, fruit and cereals available for self service. Customer service really makes this hotel stand out - I was encouraged to ask questions to enhance my stay, without feeling intruded upon. It felt that the whole staff team really valued my stay. Very high levels of cleanliness throughout. The customer journey from check in to check out has been thought through and delivers to the highest possible standards on all measures.

Great location for Birmingham airport, clean and cosy rooms. However hotel website and information at the hotel states breakfast is served from 07:00 am which was ideal for us,on arrival we were told breakfast was in fact served from 07:30.Consequently we missed breakfast, very disappointing after reading such good reviews about it.Please update your information.

I stayed there while exhibiting at the NEC. Location was excellent although the satnav wanted to take me up a restricted access airport road! ||The room itself was fine, clean and ideal for our needs. The en-suite was a bit disappointing though, it was tiny and very very cold despite turning the radiator up full. Condensation on a double glazed window in the morning is never a good thing. I found myself taking a hot shower just to heat up and then trying to avoid touching the icy cold sink or toilet afterwards!||No hairdryer in the room so you might want to bring your own. The hotel may give you one if you ask, I didn’t need to as I had my own. ||Breakfast was nice, standard cooked breakfast with choice of cereals and fruit. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. ||There is a bar which looked nice although I didn’t use it. They serve dinner too but you need to ask someone to give you a menu and they will cook to order. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, the choices weren’t really to our tastes. ||Overall it’s a nice place and pretty much does what it says on the tin.

This small hotel was a great find and made a relaxing base for the week whilst working in the area. The hotel is family run and this is reflected in the passion they have for ensuring everyone has a great stay. My room was comfortable and clean with all the required facilities. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked with a good selection of cereals etc to go with it. In the evenings there is a small bar, a pleasant outdoor seating area to watch the planes or a comfortable lounge to watch TV or read. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Nigel and the team made our family and guests very comfortable at the wake of our family member. Nothing was too much trouble in the preparation for the day. The buffet was enjoyed by all and the hospitality was generous and warm. Thank you, Nigel.

We booked a double room at the Tri-Star Hotel to see a live gig at the Birmingham NEC. The hotel has Free parking which, in this day and age, you usually have to pay for. From the rear of the hotel you could see Birmingham Airport which was great as my son is a huge airplane enthusiast (took some pics for him). There are rooms you can book with views of the airport; which i will be booking this year. The rooms were comfy and quaint, with the usual coffee and tea making facilities, soaps and shower/hair products and TV. The staff were exceptionally helpful, polite, knowledgeable and great to converse with. Lovely hot breakfast in the morning; served 7am - 9am. I'm a coeliac and I was able to have a full English. Bar available for pre-gig drinks. A short taxi ride to the NEC, for around £7, where you will find a great selection of shops and restaurants. It is possible to walk or bus. Lovely garden area to the rear. Pool table next to the dining room. Check out was by midday, which is excellent, and a couple hours later than other hotels.||The hotel has been there since the 1970s and I will definitely be staying there again this year. I'm not sure of the cost as my friend payed for the room?
