Excellent stay from start to finish. Arrive 4 hrs before check in to drop our bags & reception staff told us our room was ready so would we like to check in. No extra charge like some hotels so a welcome suprise. Room was a really good size, bathroom modern & well equipped, bed comfortable, what more can you ask for, oh yeah breakfast! Well, that didn't disappoint either. Nice touch that vegetarian sausages, etc were kept in a area away from normal sausages, people tend to use the same utensils for meat and don't think of us veggies. Full, full breakfast, everything you can think of including smoked salmon & kippers! Smoothies & overnight oats, it was just like being at home, without the hassle of having to make it all. To cap it all, checkout was at 12 so making a leisurely morning, well done Crown Plaza, definitely use you again.

Nice hotel in good location. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Heating was quite loud, but really didn't bother me. Only 2 elevators out of 4 were available. This made for some delays at peak times. Not great, but not a big deal. Good breakfast and reasonable food and drink prices. I'd stay here again.

Great location - only 5 min walk from New Street. The room was a great size with a big and comfy bed. Variety and quality of breakfast was top notch and fully appreciate a 12pm check out! Staff were very helpful too.

Excellent position just far enough away from the noise restaurants and bars to be really quiet. |Simple check in and Excellent club access room on floor 11...the extra for access is worth it for food and drinks between 5.30 and 7.30.|Room was very clean and all mod cons like an ironing board on hand.|Breakfast choice is large and good quality. |Over all staff here are friendly and run a great hotel.

A fair stay in the heart of the City and walkable access to prime hotspots and points-of-interests. Easy check-in process with a nice lobby. Staff was on point and the breakfast buffet was well laid out and of a high standard. The rooms themselves although nicely equipped and designed was a little hit-and-miss. We stayed as a party of two and hence had two rooms on different floors. Inconsistencies around the fact there was a mini fridge and robes in one room but no mini fridge and no robes in the other room despite the same room layout. That said, there was one consistency that was common in both rooms and I would imagine every room too was that the climate control system was very noisy maybe due to old building with an old system. In terms of getting a good night sleep was quite hit-and-miss when the climate control sounded like a generator in the room.

I spend a couple of nights a week in Birmingham but have not stayed in the Crowne Plaza for a good few years due to not enjoying it the last time I stayed there however on feedback of a work colleague who stays there regularly I thought I would give it a retry this weekend with my partner to try it out and I was glad I did.||Parking was simple and plentiful in the multi storey and it was just a short walk up a few steps to the front door. £21 for 24 hours is reasonable for what seems to be secure parking so no problems with that.||Check in was swift and the lady on reception (did not catch her name) noticed the Diamond Elite membership which is missed in a large number of IHG hotels, she informed me she had upgraded me and she got me checked in quickly.||Room was on the 11th floor, room was large, bathroom was very nice and the bed was comfy. Views of grand central and beyond and overall the room was very good.||The member of staff in the club lounge was exceptional (again I did not catch his name) but he was out of this world. Polite, would not allow your drinks to complete before bringing you the next one unprompted and was constantly walking around noticing what was required by any guest. The lounge is very small with not many tables, it was missing cider, it was also missing crisps and snacks but other than that no issues.||We went out for the evening and on the return there were 2 security guards on the door and they were checking everyone's name and room as they entered which I rarely see in hotels nowadays but was good to see.||Breakfast was very good. Eggs were being cooked live and there was a lot of choice available, one downside was the bacon was rock hard but otherwise no problems. Staff were very polite and again they walk around taking notice, as soon as you finish they take your plates out the way etc.||The only major problem with the hotel and one that will probably not see me back for a while is the lift situation. I know from the numerous signs that they are installing new lifts however to have 4 lifts and 3 to be out of action on a weekend is ridiculous. It took 10 to 15 minutes to get a lift from the 11th floor to ground and it was even worse getting back upstairs. Not only was there only one lift working but even that lift was faulty as the door had to close 3 times before it would fully close and the lift move. They really need to fix that problem or at least get a couple of lifts working whilst they replace 2 rather than have 3 offline and only one working, it does not work for a hotel of this size.||The hotel is good, the staff are exceptional everywhere in the building and when they fix the lifts I will certainly make this my go to hotel going forward.

I stay here a bit travelling to Birmingham and enjoy the central location. 10 minute walk to the Bull ring, New Street station and at Christmas the markets.||Arrived after flying through storm Daragh, so plane rough and trains delayed. In steps Dai. Just before 10am, he finds me a room, one of the newly renovated ones too so I can rest and clean up before the Villa match. Fantastic service to get so early. Had coffee in the bar, pricing is good and staff friendly as well.||One draw back was the lifts being out of order, cant be helped as they upgrade the hotel, more inconvenience. One thing beeds addressing, drafts through the room doors. You get a cold draft coming under your room door which is a pity because the new room climate control is extremely good. Just used a towel to block.||Safe and iron in room, tv with wide variety of channels and very clean. ||Shout out again to Dai for finding me a room so early.

We had a fantastic family stay at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham! The hotel is very central which made it easy for us to explore the city, with plenty of shopping and dining options just a short walk away. The service was EXCELLENT – the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure all our needs were met. We enjoyed the delicious the breakfast which was quite impressive, with a wide variety of tasty options. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. At Reception there is very nice seating areas and the hotel have board games, children's reading books and coloring sheets to keep the children entertained. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel for a convenient and comfortable stay in Birmingham. I would like to give a special thanks to Rob who went above and beyond to look after us, he has a rare ability to bring out the best in everyone and is truly an asset to the company. Thank you
