We were in a rush for Oxford open day and this cafe was a life saver - most other cafes weren’t open at 8:30. The cafe was very cute, with clocks on every wall and it had a fresh juice squeeze thing. We got the hot breakfast ciabattas and they were absolutely delicious (but very big portions so a little difficult to eat). The service felt a little slow, but that was probably because we were in such a rush, in reality I think food came in about 5 minutes, maybe 10 max.

It’s been 42 years since I left Oxford as a student which is ironic cos that’s how long it’s been since I’ve had Heinz tomato soup. Then it was at home… today it was in this café. If you fancy soup here, don’t expect “home made”!

Bad experience at TickTock twice now. The first time was fine, average English breakfast, nothing to write home about. Disappointing for the price. Second visit was horrible. Came in again to give the place a second chance, as we live close, and ordered the Special breakfast. We get served the Turkish breakfast for some reason. I tell the waiter we didn’t order this, he said « Yes, you did », this went back and forth until I stopped out of how shocked I was to be accused of lying. He proceeded to stand there and stare at me until my friend said that it’s fine and we’ll have it anyway, as it was very awkward and he had decided we were lying to him (I wonder what the point of lying about what breakfast you ordered would be? Very paranoid behavior from the server) He then ignored us for the rest of the meal, I had to go up to the counter and ask to pay. Paid full price for something I didn’t want, and was therefore even more disappointed. This cafe is apparently legendary in Oxford, but the current management is just not it.

Ten outta ten especially breakfast is amazing. Service is quick and good foods were delicious and so clean place. Thanks to Mr.Mert who served for us he is so gentle person.

Such a nice, many ticks to the tocks. Such time awareness many clocks, remind of Coldplay. Much breakfast, very such English breaking the fasting of the morning with fresh juices of the orange. Over joy happy feeling on the tummy side. Such recommend, everybody together feeling such amazing, mega wow! Hashbrownies with no chocolate and less brown. Many toasty, toast tost.
