We had a wonderful Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday as a family. Everything was delicious and there were excellent choices for vegetarians. My sticky toffee pudding was light and delicious and they were generous with custard. My pork roast dinner was probably the best I have ever had. My daughters fish and chips was primo and had fantastic chips. Truly excellent food and lovely people.

We have stayed at the Globe Inn three times now and consider it to be our place when we make our annual trip from Texas to Devon to visit friends. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The accommodations are warm and cozy, nice for cold, snowy January. We had a lovely view of the church yard. The staff are wonderful. The pub is lively, usually, in the evenings, is clearly a local favourite. We ate dinner here several times, delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. It sustained me on my long morning walks around Chagford. Like I said, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We went for Sunday roast with grandchildren, everyone was catered for with a large roasts for children's portions. We enjoyed beef and pork roasts nicely presented. The choice of drinks was good. The bar is dog friendly.

Impromptu lunch today. The staff were wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We had seats by the log fire. The roast beef was divine. I’m not usually a red meat eater but this was the most tender beef imaginable. I recommend the experience of the atmospheric inn and good food without hesitation.

We spent a few days in Chagford, which in itself is beautiful and had many drinks and a couple of meals in the Globe Inn, everytime was fantastic, the service was outstanding and the food was brilliant, I highly recommend the steak and ale pie, lamb with dauphinois and all of the roasts! The gravy was amazing! It was also clearly the locals pub, the busiest out of all of them Chagford and full of characters, I trust a locals opinion over anything! When we visit again it’ll be our first port of call!

A very charming little hotel with a great atmosphere, truly an 'inn' vibe. The view from our room was fantastic, overlooking the church across the street and the small graveyard. Very comfortable room. The innkeepers and the team were very friendly and cool. The dinner was amazing!! The fish and chips and the steak and ale pie were the best we’ve ever had! And the gin selection could put even a Budapest bar to shame! 🙂 If you want to have dinner here, don’t forget to book a table!

Stayed at the globe for 1 night, we've been here a few times now. The room was fantastic (very comfy bed) and the service was great, really friendly staff behind the bar and at breakfast. Have to give a shout out as well for the really good vegetarian options on the menu, hard to get sometimes anywhere in Devon.
