Affogato is a nicely presented café with an interesting decor, but that didn't reflect on the food and service. The majority of the menu was not available, including all pancakes, mushrooms and even croissants, but of what there was available the food was not to the best standard. Slow service, overcooked eggs and "Toast" (warm bread).

We were offered a free drink because of the lack of food available (on a Saturday morning too!) and the employees were friendly, so it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. Maybe at another time or day it would have been better.

The best ice cream I have ever had. Homemade in their facilities with quality flavour. The variety is also great. The staff are very polite and the place looks very cool!

I came from Manchester for a few days to see my friend and we went for breakfast here and the full English was really nice. Favourite eating out breakfast experience. The latte I had was really great too and my friend loved her hot chocolate. And I loved that it was no rush to get here because breakfast was served till 4pm.

Popped into this cafe the other day and was amazed by the service and the coffee - so much better than in many of the popular high street chains, where you're just another number. Affogato clearly cares about good food and drink, and there's loads of space to have a bit of privacy for a chat or to catch up on some reading.

Didn't indulge in the gelato but will definitely be back to work my way through the menu!

We had a breakfast with my girlfriend the food came after 20 minutes to me and other 10 minutes for my girlfriend we order half English breakfast and grilled chicken panini , my breakfast was completely cold . Food should be prepared in 40 minutes and should be at list warm .We been couple of times here for breakfast and it’s always same cold food bit of waiting for the order and stuff from the menu is not there . I’m very disappointed about the service for this amount of money . Staff is look like they don’t really care about customer service . The worst experience in my life .

Things seem to be going a little downhill. The vibe inside isn't great. Seems like they aren't too bothered about service or their customers.

Sunday, around 11. Half the ice creams were not available. Looks like most of the coffee drinkers have moved to the new coffee place around the corner.

It's a shame, especially since they aren't too many places like affogato that offer halal.

Here is hoping things go back to how I've seen they since they opened.

This shop is in a great location on the quieter side of the county mall. There's plenty of seating and an electrical outlet at almost every table, making it perfect for a study break. The food selection is very wide, however the service is rather slow and the prices are a little high. The crêpes and gelato are very good, but my cappuccino was watery. I do recommend popping in this café the next time you're out and about.

The food in itself is good. Most employees as well but miss Serena is very rude. Initially we asked to pay the bill separately. The WiFi was down so couldn't pay by card. Another employee kindly said we could pay later, cause there is a cash machine next door. When I came back to pay, this arrogant lady said that because they had pushed a button on the system, we had to pay the bill together, speaking in a very rude manner. I said it was not my problem, because I asked her colleague initially to pay separately and she said there was no problem with that. Serena was very angry and rude speaking at me because of this. I feel bad for the other ladies that have to put up with her. Terrible customer service. We even heard shouting between them coming from the counter or the kitchen afterwards, maybe because I asked her colleague for her name. According to my friend this is not the first time she is rude to customers.
