What a lovely place. Such great service and friendly staff. The coffee was delicious and the little raspberry macarons were a treat. Thoroughly recommend. Also there are some tables and chairs out the back with a nice view of the river. Lovely on a sunny day (it was a cold day for us but still really fabulous!)👍

The Paper Boat Café in Oxford is a hidden gem by the river, offering a peaceful escape with lovely views of the Thames. The homemade cakes, sandwiches, and coffee feel like a warm hug, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a quiet moment, and soak in the calm, away from the busier parts of the city.

I visited today as a one off- merely as I found myself in the area.
I had a Pumpkin Spice Latte and OMG!! It was incredible. Even better than the Starbucks version and at half the price. I think It was £3.85 and Starbucks is £6....
The food looks incredible and the staff were so so sweet.
I would highly recommend a visit. Such a lovely environment to study in- peaceful and quiet.

Very clean.
A quick coffee break in the riverside garden with a homemade blackcurrant flapjack.

How fab is this cafe?

We bought coffee at a highly rated Italian coffee shop up the hill which was undrinkable(!), so stumbling upon this amazing independent cafe with great coffee, friendly staff, and a beautiful riverside garden really made our morning.

Definitely recommended!

The cafe itself is pretty cute but they don’t have much variety of food to offer. It’s definitely just to grab a coffee and some simple dessert. I ordered the iced matcha and it had only a very subtle hint of matcha. The place is pretty but it needs more ambience. The sandwiches are very good but I wouldn’t recommend going for lunch.
