Swan Revived Hotel - Milton Keynes

We’ve stayed at the Swan Revived a number of times and there’s a good reason why we keep coming back. We love the atmosphere of this gorgeous quirky little hotel, the staff are so friendly and so accommodating. Our dog is welcomed and fussed over and you serve the best breakfast in England! Our room was lovely. Bed clean and comfortable. We always ask for a quiet room as one above the pub can mean you’re awake till 3 a.m. The floors can make you feel drunk even if you’re not (not a criticism!). The area around the hotel is beautiful and full of history. The only criticism we do have is that it was cheaper to book via booking.com instead of direct. Mark, David, Charlotte, Carolyn we are looking forward to seeing you again in the new year. Thank you!

I stayed here during a business trip and loved everything about this establishment. The food was terrific, the bartenders made me delicious custom drinks, and the property itself is so incredibly charming.
The service was also amazing as well. I left a pair of gym shorts in the room and they reached out to me to arrange to have them sent back to me.

Stayed here 3 times now and as a Newport Pagnell born and bred person have known this hotel for almost 60 years.

First of all the staff are excellent, only negative was as we had our dog with us we couldn't use the restaurant and for 2 days our breakfast table wasn't set for us and on the second day we had to remind staff who we were as we sat waiting for service. We did get an apology from reception.

Breakfast was always good and hot with nice produce again one negative is the quality of the bread which is very cheap but that's just a personal issue ( I'm a chef of 40 years and would never serve bog standard sliced bread) however saying that the price paid for the room is very, very competitive.

Evening food is always good and service is quick. Friday steak night is great 👍

Our first two stays we had a lovely big room. Our last stay for 3 nights we had a room over the courtyard and above the pub. Room was very dated with mould on the ceiling in the shower/toilet room but the shower was excellent and the room clean with a nice bed and clean sheets.

Personally I wouldn't stay in rooms above the pub if we stayed again due to noise but saying that staff were very good at stopping on time and having people vacate the area.

All in all a good stay and I'd definitely stay again.

What a pleasant hotel, having visited because of a departed relative the hotel management and staff could not have been more accommodating.||Pleasant, friendly, efficient and watchful. I think more people stayed than planned, but for the hotel it was nay bother. They kept watch and replenished.||Fine service indeed and to be congratulated on an exemplary service. ||I think I will have to return with my wife, and I will stop certainly when next passing.

Rusholme

We stayed here for a family reunion, about 6 couples, 2 children and a dog. They were very helpful and accommodating with getting our bookings arranged.||There is a restaurant downstairs which we had a meal as a family together in, the food was great. ||There's also a pub attached directly to the hotel which is quite a nice little boozer to sink some pints in.||I stayed in a room with partner and dog which was perfectly comfortable and actually quite large (another couple had a room far smaller, although still comfortable) so I'm assuming we were given the bigger room to account for our pooch. ||Limited parking on the rear of the property, with a public car park directly beyond this.||All in all a good stay.

Stayed one night and would definitely stay here again when we visit our friends on another occassion. Good accommodation, helpful friendly staff and good food. What's not to like!!

The Hotel is central to Newport Pagnell, sited on the main street amongst shops and restaurants. There is limited hotel parking to the rear with extended meter parking beyond this. Checking in was a pleasant experience as all the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was a compact double room with bathroom shower and flat screen tv and a comfortable bed.|We enjoyed a quiet dinner in a spacious dining room with excellent service. We both enjoyed a really tasty steak pie, one of the best, with a bottle of red wine. Breakfast the following day was one to remember, being varied and well cooked. Certainly a breakfast that would be hard to beat anywhere. Compliments to the chef. |Would we stay at the Swan again? Most certainly when having the Aston Martin serviced.

The staff here are doing a really amazing job in a really difficult atmosphere. The hotel building is clearly letting them down.
Probably had the worst night sleep in a hotel because of people walking up and down corridors and sitting outside in the courtyard until 4am.
In the morning, there was no hot water for a shower which a number of guests told me had been an issue for several days.
For food, the place is good.
As a hotel, it's not of a good standard at all.
