Lovely food and great service. I have ordered an onion soup for a starter and it was to die for. It was very rich and cheese. The portion was huge. I think this soup with some bread would be enough for a meal. It was really delicious. For the main I took a nut roast and it was delicious too. If I had to make some improvement feedback- the roasted potato skin wasn't crispy and a bit chewy. My husband ordered meat balls and steak and he couldn't fault his. We also came in December and the decorations are stunning. We didn't stay in the hotel.

We didn't use the hotel, only came out for a meal and it didn't disappoint. Ate in a beautiful conservatory adorned with tiny lights. Plenty of space and accessible.

Didn't stay in the hotel, but went for a light sandwich lunch. The sandwich menu offered a fantastic choice of food, at very reasonable prices. A great choice of sandwiches and chips meals, and brunch offerings too. I chose the Eggs Royale which was beautifully presented, and delicious! I look forward to coming back.

Fabulous food and excellent service. We stayed around the corner from Friday to Monday and visited 3 times!! Highly recommend - with a shout out to one of our waiters, Ed. Didn't catch the others names. Sorry!

Following a number of excellent meals, on this occasion the mains were extremely disappointing. Whilst edible, the broccoli and fondant potatoes were very undercooked and the chicken breast was overcooked. The texture of the pan fried liver was bizarre which reflected our enjoyment. To balance this, the starter and deserts were excellent, the menu choice and the service were very good. In summary, we may have been very unlucky but what spoilt the evening more was the lack of recognition when we fed this back which does not make you feel valued.

Can't accommodate us for dinner but there are lots of empty tables?
And congratulations on what is quite possibly the most unprofessional reply I've ever had! Not too unsimilar to your replies on the other reviews that have given you criticism, maybe you're in the wrong job.
And as far as being a keyboard warrior is concerned, I speak as I find, you will see I have left many 5 star reviews where they have been deserved.

4 of us came NY Day for a late lunch at 3pm (booked). On arrival we were greeted by a very nice barman who served us drinks and opened a bar tab for us. We could see that the restaurant was on minmum staff so expected a wait.
The food order was taken for the kitchen and we did wait a while before starters came out, but when they did we were all impressed. Mains were served by the lovely Edward, who apologised profusely for the wait times. This young man is an asset to that restaurant. Never stopped bussing tables, while attempting to support a new member of the team.
We enjoyed our meal very much and will definitely return. Food is good quality and good value. Well done.
Oh btw, your Christmas decorations were gorgeous.
