The rooms are now in dire need of renovation. No ventilation, so rooms are smelly, stuffy, and damp. Black-mold growing in multiple locations in the room. Bathroom is needlessly tiny, especially when the room is quite spacious.||||Breakfast was not good. The coffee machine was broken and appeared to have been for some time; the pastries ran out by 08:30; cereals ran out by 09:00; no serviettes so using blue-roll instead; no desire to provide a service from the FoH restaurant staff.||||The attached Hungry Horse pub was very poor. Bar staff were difficult, not customer focussed, and weren't interested in providing a service. Booking for 18 people was at first rejected citing that there was no room because they were fully booked. Questioning this, the pub manager eventually said "well you'll have to book online". Why insist the customer books online when they are stood in front of the pub manager, asking to make a booking? ||||This Premier Inn's only saving grace is that it is cheap, but it is easy to see why.

The rooms are a tad outdated, and not as up to date or nicely decorated as other premier inns. The paint was peeling, and the bathrooms are clearly on the older side.

The beds were clean and comfortable however.

There is no AC, in case you're visiting in summer, and for us on the Monday of winter - the radiators are woefully undersized so warming the room up was a challenge. We mentioned this to the front desk however, and very quickly they sourced a plugin oil heater for us which did wonders!

The location is quiet, seems pretty enough, and has a large chain restaurant attached to it.

Everything you expect from premier inn. Clean room, nice surroundings, very big. Breakfast was OK, items needed replenishing when we were in there (about 8.30am), only one lady restocking things slowly. Food was tasty.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable bed, desk with chair and separate chair as well as clothes storage and coat hooks making it easy to unpack everything. The bathroom was smaller than expected with a shower over the bath which may be awkward for some people.||Though I booked two rooms on the one booking, the rooms initially allocated were on the same floor but almost as far from each other as they could be. After speaking to reception, we were allocated rooms across the corridor from each other. ||Toilet paper provision and tea provision in the room was disappointing. I had to ask for toilet paper as the dispenser in the bathroom had barely a centimetre depth of paper in and was provided with a toilet roll. There were only standard PG Tips tea bags in the room and when I made enquiries was told that was all there was. At breakfast however, there was a range of PG Tips teabags available.||The breakfast staff were helpful and polite though on the second morning they were dealing with a lack of supplies so some items were not available. The selection of cooked breakfast items was okay and they were hot. The selection of cereals was also okay, as was the selection of teas as mentioned above.||Overall a comfortable stay.

Easy to find and close to the motorway. From the outside this is an attractive hotel location with the pub and adjacent fishing lake. There is lots of free parking mostly right next to the entrance too as itโ€™s a horseshoe shaped car park.

The Hungry Horse pub is literally opposite so convenient if thatโ€™s your thing. The surrounding area offers a lovely walk. Indeed I chose to walk to a really friendly nearby Fish n Chip shop for my dinner. To note it was cash only but a cash point (ATM) is next door.

Breakfast is in a dedicated breakfast room inside the hotel. The selection wasnโ€™t as good as some other Premier Inns Iโ€™ve stayed at. I think this was partly due to the staff not replenishing items such as the fresh fruit and black pudding perhaps because the end of the sitting was relatively close (but no excuse).

The check in process was painful, with lots of customers waiting for long periods and limited interest by the check-in team.||I was in a rush to turn around in the room and attend an evening event so I didn't notice initially but in the morning I realised that my bathroom was covered in mould, which was disgusting. By this point it was obviously too late to request a different room.||We also were not told at check in that the breakfast room was not functioning, despite the fact that the staff knew at check-in, and therefore no breakfast was available so I had to source this elsewhere at a huge inconvenience because this hotel is not near any other facilities.||Overall, I disliked my stay at this hotel and it is one of the worst Premier Inns I've stayed at. Definitely will not be staying again.

Soon as we opened the door for the first time we were hit with a musty smell like opening a old caravan after exploring the room once coats off we found mould around the window and over the ceiling in the bathroom, Disappointing as it's such an easy thing to sort out but the cleaners aren't bothered as even the mirrors were a mess, the extra pillows and none of the extra bedding(quad room) had tamper proof seals or covers. Overall not a great experience never greeted by staff when passing reception even when we first arrived to check in had to wait around for someone to come after ringing the bell and a lad not even in uniform finally came.
