Service was a bit hit and miss, some really friendly and helpful staff, others seemed too caught up in admin to deal with guests.
Room was a good size and a comfortable bed, though awful lighting as seems to be the case in all hotels these days. There was an odd defect in that the bathroom door had chipped paint, though the rest of the room was fine.
The food was a bit hit and miss, some meals were school canteen or motorway services level and vastly overpriced for what they were, others delicious and very reasonable.
Location was in the middle of nowhere on the edge of town, I was at an event so didn't need to leave the hotel all weekend, but if you wanted to go anywhere you would want a car. The only place nearby on foot is the Open University, if you are visiting there it would be very handy as it's a short walk.

We've just stayed at this hotel and like other reviews have said, the staff make it the most pleasant stay. Alina in Reception, Elliot and the team at the bar, the young ladies in the breakfast room...all were outstanding in the customer service.

The room was a little dated but clean which is the most important thing. If you prefer a firmer pillow, bring your own as they have anti-allergy soft pillows. I would have liked some information for the room which you'd normally find in a folder but it isn't a deal breaker as the staff help you with information. I would recommend some earplugs as the walls are thin and noise from people in the corridor can disturb you.

We attended a function and the food provided was lovely and the service was good.
Breakfast has your basic continental and cooked breakfast options, cool drinks, hot drinks, lovely fruit, selection of mini cereal boxes, granola, yoghurt, a lovely selection of mini pastries and tasty bread too.

All in all it was a pleasant stay, I would recommend this hotel as the staff are the loveliest people we have met in hospitality.

Nice looking modern hotel with ample parking but falls short of expectations.

Stayed for a weekend event.

Barely slept as beds were really firm and feather pillows were fluffy but when you laid on them they went to nothing and gave no neck support. Tried using a towel folded up as extra pillow on second night then on third night, I pleaded with front desk for an extra duvet and some more towels to use as a pillow, they managed to find a couple of firmer pillows for me. So on the last night (3rd) of my stay, I finally managed to get some sleep with better pillows and by sleeping on top of the duvet (to add some cushioning to matress). Unfortunately, it was too stressful not sleeping and I just felt exhausted and had back and neck ache for length of my stay.

The Room's bathroom was clean and modern but shower was poor preasure with a narrow shower head. Washing toiletries were provided but I did not use them.

Some towels looked like they need replacing with lots of threads hanging off them.

Food was very quickly produced from kitchen but only 1 person taking orders and lots of people were waiting in large queue at peak times. When it arrived it wasn't great quality for the cost - edible but disappointing.

Breakfast was huge choice of different items but cooked items weren't great, hard bacon for example - again, it was edible but not that great.

Hotel phone line does not work - has been like this for a few weeks now - so looks like it's their policy not to have a phone line for customers to use.

No heating in public area toilets - absolutely freezing cold.

No cancellation policy published, even though it should be on my confirmation email and on the app booking page (according to help info on website).

Had 2 bookings at this hotel but after the first stay, I'm cancelling the second - well, I'm trying to, as I can't actually speak to anyone.

Tip: if you need to contact them go to help page on main website, then search 'complaint' and it gives you a form to fill in and submit (as the company's contact number are all international - none are UK).

I was surprised with the rooms in this hotel.
No bath, the covers were not comfortable. I don’t know if I will go back.
But the food and the staff were amazing. Very helpful and caring.

Plenty of space to park which is great. 👍

Nice enough stay. Staff are very good and friendly.
The renovated room was nice and about what you would expect from a Delta hotel. Breakfast was just about acceptable. At breakfast, the scrambled eggs were grey and unappealing and sausages poor quality. The rest was OK.
The bed was quite uncomfortable, and the king bed was 2 beds zipped together. This meant the middle of the bed had a hard ridge running through it and could feel the zip. In other hotels that do this, they put a topper over it. Water was also pretty bad. Pressure was very low, and water only got warm.
As there was an event going on all weekend, the hotel communal areas were not as clean as I would expect.
The gym was good, one of the better ones for a UK hotel gym I have been to.

The venue was used for a day conference meeting only. Easy to get to the venue along with free car parking. The staff were friendly and the hotel was very accommodating and relaxing. The meeting room was well equipped with fresh drinking water available at all times.

I booked this hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday. My experience was a nightmare. The air-conditioning was switched off through out the entire party . Everybody was hot and sweaty. They set the music sound limit to 87, which eventually made my music like a lullaby. Everything was dull and solemn. My guests and I were so uncomfortable. I eventually burst into tears due to the constant music interruption. Dear prospective celebrant, learn from my experience. No matter how much you spend or do, you are guaranteed lots of unpleasant surprises.
