We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be exemplary. We could find no fault with the place, the room, the service, anything. Actually, when I really think about it, if you are not good with stairs, the staircase is quite steep but all able bodied people will have no difficulty. It is an old stone built cottage.|Nice sitting room available for guest use, Lovely garden with outdoor seating.|We would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to others

I've visited the Garden Rooms about a dozen times since my Bromham granddaughter was born in 2009. Without exception the welcome is a proper one (massive pot of tea this time), the bed indescribably comfortable, the room provided with all one needs in terms of toiletries, coffee / tea etc, TV, warmth and quiet. Joanne has always excelled herself with the sheer size of her memorable full English breakfasts, plus all the cereal / fruit befores and toast / spreads afters with a cafetiere one could drown in. I paid £60 - an absolute bargain. I shall, of course, return.

Last week I had to be in Bedford for my friends wedding, so another friend and I booked up to stay here. It was super close to the village hall so it was perfect, but we didn't realise how lovely it wold be when we got there. The B & B itself is immaculate, the rooms are incredibly comfortable and the shower is amazing (especially so if you wake up with a hangover). Jo the owner is very attentive and friendly and made us feel more than welcome, the breakfast in the morning was certainly well received before a journey back to the city. I am thinking of coming back here just for a little break - I love it.

I stayed at The Garden rooms for a week in July 2019. The circumstances of my stay were unfortunate after a family bereavement.|I found The Garden Rooms via the TripAdvisor web site and liked the way it was presented. Having then looked at the premises own website, I contacted the owner Joanne. I explained over several emails that I required a level of flexibility as I wasn’t sure when I was likely to arrive or for that matter how long my stay would be. |Ordinarily I would expect short shrift. Nothing could be further from the truth, Joanne and her partner Shane could not possibly have been more understanding and willing to help. On arrival I was offered help to move cases to my room, via a steep staircase. I managed on my own, I was in the top floor room. I think a less able guest may wish to stay on the 1st floor. |The room was everything the website had suggested, functional, well appointed and attractive. All rooms are en-suite. The room was very warm but you only need to open the window and all is good.|One point I may mention, there are no locks on individual rooms, which whilst unusual, was not an issue. The premises has a very attractive small, well tended garden, with a Koi pond and night time lighting, there is a seating area with parasol together with tea/coffee making facilities in the dining area. It was nice to be able to sit outside during the evening. Attached to the dining area was a good sized lounge with couches and a TV. The entire premises has really good, free of charge WiFi.|Joanne also makes her own cakes for the guests (together with homemade biscuits in each room). There is also a supply of free bottled water, both in the rooms and also in a cooler on the 1st floor landing.|The property has chickens for the provision of eggs for breakfast, no cockerels thankfully, and a friendly Hedgehog that makes the odd appearance.|The breakfasts were amazing!!! A plethora of options, from cereals to a VERY substantial full English. I could only manage one full English during my stay for fear of not being able to bend to tie my shoes laces! Joanne likes to have the guests decide the night before what they would like for breakfast, together with a rough time. This is entirely reasonable, she runs the place herself and completes all tasks herself. There were occasions due to my circumstances that I wasn’t able to determine time of breakfast and choice. Joanne has no problem accommodating me. |My wife joined me for part of the stay, this was no issue for Joanne. Other guests we met seemed equally as happy with their stay. The outside of the premises looks like a farm house in a small village, and has lots of kerb appeal. The gravel driveway has sufficient space for three large cars, I would advise guests to reverse on to it, it will make leaving in the morning easier.|I only told Joanne that I was checking out on the same morning, there were no grumbles or discontentment.|I would like to thank both Joanne and Shane for their hospitality and flexibility during my stay, and urge anyone who is thinking of one of those cheaper “purple” TV advertised hotels to consider The Garden Rooms in Stagsden, Bedfordshire.|You will not be disappointed.

Stayed at The Garden Rooms for two nights over Xmas and Boxing Day. The B&B is picture postcard charming and spotlessly clean and the hosts, Joanne and Shane, so helpful. The bed was so comfortable I would have taken it home if I could've got it down the stairs and out the door without being seen!!! It is a quiet setting in the lovely village of Stagsden, with countryside all around and a golf club nearby for the more energetic. Highly recommended and thank you Joanne and Shane

We stayed at the end of September for just 1 night - our god-daughter was getting married in Stevington and the reception was in Turvey, so the location was ideal for us. The room was lovely, and had everything you could possibly need in it, amazing attention to detail. Breakfast next morning was excellent. Joanne was very welcoming and helpful, and even drove us back out to pick up our car from Turvey. Highly recommended.

Beautiful bed and breakfast with a wonderful host, lovely bedrooms, very clean and well maintained, and a great choice of food for breakfast. We would definitely stay there again when next in the area.

Stayed here originally approx 4 years ago whilst my daughter was bike racing and this B&B is still a great find. If you're in the area for business or pleasure this place is a home from home. Relaxing, great rooms, decent free wifi, accommodating hosts and a breakfast other places can't match. We will be back ☺|About 15 minutes from Bedford town centre but worth every second of the drive.
