Definitely recommend this campsite, well maintained and exceptionally clean. We stayed one night on our way home from Scotland. The site is lovely and as I mentioned, clean, it is laid out well. The shower rooms are nice and big. Toilets were great all modern designs.

Liked: Received text with directions and extra arrival information which was a brilliant bonus. Welcomed to site and shown pitch. Really good location, very safe, secure and clean site. All pitches level which was again excellent. Showers and toilets and dish wash up area was of a very good standard and well maintained. Did have a couple of concerns but would not stop us recommending the site and not stop us staying again. Thank you.

Disliked: The site was fairly busy which is always great to see but there were a lot of fire pits across the camp, which can get a bit overwhelming with all the smoke. So perhaps a dedicated area on the site, maybe for those who want to light a fire pit may help to keep at least a small bit of separation at least from others not wanting the smoke. The hardstanding pitches were too open so some Better demarcation of the pitches would also be very useful to stop others walking so close to the campervan when parked up to keep some privacy, which became a little annoying especially as we seemed to be on the direct route to the toilet block for all the central grass area tents. Unfortunately walking the dog, I followed what looked like a grassed pathway but I didn't see some bee hives, and was attacked by a few bees and stung a few times on my head. So some signage would be very useful to ensure you can only walk so far to avoid the bees.

Liked: Absolutely fantastic site. Immaculate tent pitches. The toilet and shower facilities were super clean and modern. The site was peaceful, no rowdy or noisy stayers waking you up super early.
Walks along the canal were fantastic.
We will definitely be visiting again.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Toilets/Shower rooms are unmatched to anything we've seen before, honestly put our house to shame! Amazing! We were slightly concerned on the 2/2 layout when the site got busy but it never seemed an issue. Would love to see the old shop converted into a wash room with a few sinks for teeth/freshing up.

The site was wonderful and felt really relaxed for us with our friends. Lucy was super helpful and always felt 'around' checking the site. Our friends were allowed to pitch up just next to us so we felt close even though no defined pitch was there.

Nice little walk to The Badger Inn which I must say a lovely we had a Lunch and also Sunday Dinner here. They were dog friendly and the service was great, they even offered 10% discount for service workers which is fantastic.

We don't often stay around this area as it was a last minute booking but we would certainly come back if we do.

No Wifi so rated as 5.

Disliked: Cleaning equipment for the toilet no one likes leaving it for someone else at least we don't a simple silicone brush.

Squeegee for the shower to mop down after use which we're used to doing.

Add a mirror to the exit as the road is busy at times and didn't enjoy the blind pull out to the right.

Overall recommendations rather than dislikes this is a great site in it's infancy! Well done Lucy & Team.

Liked: We loved our stay at Oakwood Campsite, the site is very clean and well kept. The pitches are well maintained and spacious.

We stay on a Large pitch (16) and had ample room for car and a vango Icarus and awning with our car parked next to the tent.

The bathroom/ toilet facilities are very clean and maintained regularly. We were travelling with our 11 month old in his first camping trip and found the disabled shower with seat facility a great addition.

As this isn’t a huge site we found it to be pleasant with the noise, we didn’t mind the late night chatting and beers round the fire.

We loved the coded gate and gave us that extra security when travelling with a baby.

The owner of the site is very friendly and often stopped for a chat which was a nice touch for us.

Disliked: The only thing we would add but wouldn’t say it was a dislike was it would be nice to have and additional toilet in the opposite corner of the site to alleviate some of the busyness in the morning.
