This place is a total time capsule—in the worst way possible. It feels like stepping into a rundown hotel from the 60s or 80s that hasn’t seen a single upgrade since. The rooms are disgustingly outdated. The carpet was so nasty I had to lay down towels just to walk around. The shower? A complete nightmare—no ventilation, so the entire room turned into a steam box. The shower unit itself was a joke, barely functional, and the flush? Good luck getting it to work properly.

Let’s talk about convenience—or rather, the lack of it. No bedside plugs, only on an ancient desk that looks like it was stolen from a cheap 70s office. The key card system is beyond frustrating—took 10 attempts to open the door, and at one point, it wouldn’t open at all. Oh, and if you value sleep, forget about it. The constant noises at night will keep you up, adding to the overall miserable experience.

This place is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Until then, avoid at all costs.

Pictures to follow.

The hotel and its staff were welcoming. Everything about it was clean and tidy. Our room was spacious with every convenience working and lashings is hot water. To book for a swim was easy with a nice pool, and breakfast was a delight with choice of full English, cold, and/or Mediterranean buffet. Would recommend it highly as a place to relax and getaway. The area is quiet which was just what we needed.

We stayed at Novotel Milton Keynes for one night during the kids' half-term and had a great experience. The children loved the pool, and the stay was comfortable and relaxing. The hotel was clean, family-friendly, and well-equipped for a short getaway. Would definitely stay again!

Great overnight stay. Very comfy bed and the room was spacious. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was and undisturbed by any nearby traffic. Proof of good soundproofing and double glazed windows/blackout curtains. Hotel met all our needs. The staff are helpful and courteous. Good choice for breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Novotel. We booked a single room as a last-minute arrangement, trusting the hotel to accommodate our needs. However, upon arrival, the staff insisted we upgrade to a double room, showing a complete lack of empathy and understanding of our situation. This disregard for our confirmed reservation was frustrating. To add insult to injury, we were unfairly charged a no-show fee even though we chose not to stay under these conditions. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and has left a very negative impression. As a result, I will never patronize this hotel again and would advise others to consider alternative accommodations to avoid similar issues. I strongly urge the management to reconsider their policies and approach to customer service to prevent such distressing experiences. If I could give zeros!!!

We booked here due to the location, but on arrival and entering our room, it was freezing cold. The duvets were just not thick enough, we all had to sleep in jumpers, hats and gloves. The pool was a good bonus for the morning and at least warmed us up, and the breakfast was good including offering gluten free items.

On check in, the receptionist made it seem like I was an inconvenience and questions asked were answered with contempt. I felt very dismissed and taken aback after a query with the room rate and breakfast.

We went to our room and the card didn't work, meaning a trip back to reception. Second time the card didn't work and another trip back to reception!

The room was pleasant and clean. It was a shame about the sofa bed which had 2 broken slates!

Nothing on check in regarding swimming and breakfast was explained to us, we were just given a bit of paper and left to get on with it. When we went swimming, we couldn't access it as needed a card and then wasn't advised where to get towels. The pool and sauna was nice and we enjoyed it. Half an hour swim sessions are way too short and it should be 1 hour minimum.

The children's play corner was a nice touch, although run down and could do with updating.

When we went to breakfast, I forgot the key and went to reception to get a spare. The receptionist was on their phone, texting and kept me waiting whilst they finished their text before offering help!

Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Plenty on offer, fresh, hot and lots to offer. The cheap orange and apple juice was a let down though. It was nice having it on until 11am so we didn't have to rush with children and a check out time of 12pm was great.

This place could be a real gem but staff, need a lot of customer service training. For that reason, we won't be back.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a perfectly grilled chicken at the Novotel Hotel MK, specially prepared by Chef Antoni. The chicken was incredibly juicy, grilled to perfection, and packed with flavor all the way down to the bone. The texture was the perfect balance, crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside.|A special mention to Faye, the waitress, for providing excellent service and ensuring a great dining experience. She suggested this dish😊 The whole meal was fantastic. Highly recommend!
