It's difficult to describe the feeling of walking up the stairs to my room and seeing wallpaper peeling from the walls, rounding the corner and seeing water stains on the walls, and not just a bit, I mean lots and then to see black mould on the walls too. I wondered if it could get worse. Breakfast included it said but nowhere to eat it, the bar and restaurant you see I the photos may have looked like that at some time in he past, but it's a storage area now. Reception? Never anyone there, you have to page them. It is the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed at, and calling it an hotel is REALLY stretching the description.

I rang the bell and was quickly greeted by a lady who was helpful and kind.||The hotel itself is dated and needs decorating. All of the corridors and the room stunk of stale smoke which was even strong to me as a smoker myself! I could still smell stale smoke on my coat and clothes after leaving.||The walls were dirty and the room was cold. There were a lot of hairs on the bed and in the bed which made me wonder if the bedding was actually clean. I am a very heavy sleeper and used to sleeping in noisy environments but was woken up 4 times in the night by shouting / clashing around. Could hear other TV’s, video games and phone calls very loudly. This hotel is also used as temporary accommodation for homeless people. ||There was a small fridge in the room which was visibly dirty and smelled terrible. ||Wifi advertised but details weren’t provided on check in. ||Avoid at all costs! Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I won’t be returning.

This place is a dump, don't go there, no bar, no restaurant or anywhere to eat so don't believe the breakfast included. Walls have mould on them, wallpaper peeling off, seriously it feels like a doss house

Booked through Hotel.com as last minute due to mother in-law being in Scunthorpe Hospital. Room booked looked OK & was listed a s larger sized room for 3 with better decor & included breakfast.|Didn't get the better room just a standard double, Room was dirty with stained curtains & bathroom in poor state as was decor with peeling wallpaper & marks on walls. Breakfast was no-existent, apparently not offered since Covid. Absolutely horrible place with misleading listings, avoid at all costs.

Great place for where we needed to be.
Whole hotel in massive disrepair.
Corridors smelt if smoke and weed!
Manager was brilliant when we needed to swap daughters room as there was brown water in shower cubicle and shower light fitting and mold in window. Second room the shower flooded the bathroom and tge wall socket and wall moved!
Also had bridal suite for us with massive jacuzzi bath that didn't work and a cracked sink!

We choose this hotel through a "buy a gift" box because it is not far from the sea. The breakfast was included normally. But when came the time to eat, we were told that there is not anymore breakfast. This was very annoying for us. The room was not in a good state. The shower is not clean. The window doesn't isolate the noise from the traffic outside. The state of the hotel is unfortunately horrible. I don't like to speak negatively but it was tough to stay there. It is too bad that the owner has a very beautiful expensive car but don't care so much about the hotel and the gests. The only positive thing is the low price and the towels changed every day. This hotel has a very good potential. It is a pity that it is like that.

Husband stayed here for one night as it was ideal location for an event at the Plowright Theatre. No reception area (button to press to alert staff) and not a particularly warm welcome from the one member of staff that showed him into room. Room was ok, old but clean. Bathroom in need of updating, electric shower didn’t work but he was able to have a bath, plenty of hot water. No control on the radiator in the room so had to leave window open thus making it noisy. No information in room re breakfast time or check out time. Husband thought that he’d been told breakfast from 8:30am but went down at 9:10 and the room was all locked and was told it was AT 8:30! Not even offered a slice of toast! So a £50 room and no breakfast! |

The worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Starting with a broken window by the reception entrance and an old wreck of a car full to the top with what looked like rubbish also by the main entrance.|As I nipped out to my car I was accosted by 2 scruffs also leaving who asked me to buy them a room for the night as they lived on the street. While I felt for these guys it's not what I expect inside a supposed hotel but with no-one on reaction it is to be expected.|The whole place is in a terrible state of disrepair and a large problem for me was the fact that all fire doors with sign's on them saying "fire door keep closed" we're all wedged open turning the whole place into death trap . I did close one to see what would happen and sure enough it was wedged open again next morning. I do believe this to be illegal and I'm sure their insurance provider would not be impressed assuming they have insurance.|The room was functional and the bed clean and comfy but what a state it was in and missing a door handle.|I think someone should decide whether to close this place down or do it up (a huge job)
