Arrived at our lodge (40) to no heating or hot water. This was soon sorted by the engineers. We also noticed the TV not working, radiator in the bedroom leaking, strong smell of drains and the sofa was broken. Our booking agent contacted the resort but no one arrived to sort this. It didn’t stop us having a nice time. The lodge was clean, spacious, good layout, nice views and quiet. The onsite pub was reasonably priced we had food there both nights. The staff were friendly, welcoming to families and live football was being shown in the pub. All in all an enjoyable experience, would just have liked our other issues sorting. Having no tv with a 6yr old and a 10yr old was difficult.

We had a lovely weekend away here. The lodge was nice and clean. In a stunning rural area, very clam. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a nice little pub with a good range of drinks and activities. The hot tub was great with a nice decking area with seating. Had some issues with hot water in the kitchen and shower and the water pressure on the last night.

Currently here at the minute, having the best time , no issues with our lodge as people have previously stated, absolutely perfect for what we wanted, clean and tidy. Facilities are great, with having a full kitchen and appliances. The pub was closed but this never bothered us as we cooked or ordered just eat which delivered it basically to our lodge door, we even got given a free bottle of prosecco because of this, and had the option to open the pub just for us, however we decided to enjoy our stay in the lodge instead as we have dogs. The new on site manager couldn't have done anymore for us if she wanted too, she is lovely and attentive and really made us feel at home, I would definitely stay here again, and would ignore the negative comments.

Awful location and had the worst experience.
The road to get to the location site is enough to damage your car, upon arrival the site was dead on site pub was closed.
The lodge was not clean, the bed was being held up with a piece of wood, the plates and cutlery had been put away dirty - why do people not clean them?
The dining area had food on the sofa from the previous guests, the floors were not swept.
The bathroom shower screen had some sort of mite eggs all up it in the cracks. I have taken photos of everything.

I was supposed to stay from Sunday to Tuesday - I left early the Monday morning as it was awful.

Company refusing refund which is not acceptable.

On the whole we enjoyed our stay the lodge was very nice and modern and they had the hot tub heated and ready for use. We were able to walk out dog by the river. We stayed in number 12. The issues we had were that the dishwasher didn't work not a problem as we just hand washed our pots and washing up liquid and sponge etc were provided. The pub wasn't open it is currently closed Monday to Thursday so had to use just eat to get food delivered again disappointing |but not a massive problem. The biggest issue that would put us off returning was the mattresses they were the worst I have ever seen I'm not exaggerating when I say you could feel every spring and they dug into you when you laid down we had to sleep on top of the quilt to make it bearable luckily there was only 2 of us so we used the quilts from the unused single beds in the other room to put over us. These mattresses need replacing or at the very least some mattress toppers putting on as this really lets down the lodge and would ruin anyone's stay. Other than this if your looking for a relaxing stay using the hot tub and just chilling out then it's a good location.

Ugh, where to even begin? We booked this "rustic retreat" based on the promise of a glorious hot tub, and I'll give them that – the hot tub was indeed fantastic. However, that's where the positives end.|From the moment we walked in, the place reeked of stale cigarette smoke. It clung to everything: the curtains, the furniture, even the supposedly "fresh" towels. It was absolutely disgusting. I have young children, and the thought of them breathing that in was horrifying.|To make matters worse, while trying to settle in, my kids discovered an unused cigarette tucked behind a cushion, a pile of cigarette ash under the bedside table, and a used hairbrush under my daughters bed. I mean, seriously? The level of cleanliness was appalling. It's obvious the place hadn't been properly cleaned, or even aired out, in who knows how long.|The smoke smell completely ruined any chance of relaxation. We spent the entire time trying to air out the place, which was futile and I had a constant headache.|If you enjoy the lingering aroma of an ashtray and the thrill of finding other people's discarded belongings, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save your money and find somewhere that actually cares about basic hygiene. The hot tub was great, but it wasn't worth the lungfuls of secondhand smoke and the sheer disgust of the dirty room.

Booked via Staycation Breaks and we stayed at number 31 “Lux Hideaway”. On the surface it looks great but underneath you can see there’s a lot of issues. Most of the curtain metal tie backs are coming off the walls. The furniture in the bedrooms made no sense, really mismatched and misshapen leaving little practical space to move. One of the rattan chairs on the patio was broken, not all seats had cushions. Some of the glasses in the cupboard were broken but these were replaced etc. ||The main issue was the smell from the bathroom, it was horrendous! We think it was sewerage and when we were in the hot tub we could smell it too. We had to open a window to get rid of the smell it was so pungent. I told reception as we left and they said they would get maintenance to look at it, but then today I saw a review from 3 weeks ago with the same issue, so they clearly know about it!||Location is remote and quiet. We never went to the pub. Wouldn’t rush back as I know there’ll be better places to try. They need to keep on top of the maintenance inside and out otherwise it will become too much.
