As I walked up Steep Hill I felt a bit peckish and came across a cafe for a quick coffee and toast. Light and airy space with comfortable seating that the perfect place to relax (if I didn’t have an appointment). The coffee was good quality and I loved the sourdough toast, best bread I’ve come across in Lincoln cafes. Lots of magazines and books so you get the impression the friendly staff are happy fr customers to make themselves for comfortable.

I just had a coffee and toast after feeling peckish early one morning on the way up Steep Hill. Really nice atmosphere, airy with lots of comfy seating. Staff were welcoming and pleasant and the coffee was excellent but cup so small I almost ordered a second cup. The sourdough toast was the best I’ve had in Lincoln cafes and this will definitely influence me to return. This establishment felt like a cafe/restaurant and it was only when writing the review that I realised you can book a room. Really handy for the Cathedral and Castle as it’s just a few minutes away.

Was to use a Scottish Term 'Puggled' after trudging up the lower part of the the Steep Hill in Lincoln and I gratefully spotted this establishment just shortly before I need the defibrillator.
When we entered we were met by really friendly staff who got us to a table with nice comfy seating.
We ordered Tea, Smoked Salmon Bagel and a Sausage Bap.
The tea was real leaf tea and was really refreshing, my brother complimented the Sausage Bap through a full mouth and the Smoked Salmon Bagel was delicious with an ample supply of cream cheese.
This is a delightful place full of character with a really relaxed atmosphere and professional and helpful staff, if you are passing and in need of refreshment, give it a try.

Had a delightful two night stay. The rooms smell divine, the staff are more than accommodating, and the cafe is wonderful.

An absolutely superb experience. The studios were very comfortable and well-appointed, and the cafe downstairs was excellent. Stephanie was a very welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. The Rest is in a fantastic location for exploring the city, and we could not have been happier there. We will definitely return.

This is a perfect location on the beautiful Steep Hill. Our room was immaculately presented, extremely clean, and very comfortable. It had a lovely big modern bathroom, great shower and there's a fab little kitchenette too. We didn't use this as we only stayed one night but I can see how it could be really useful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, the owners are really friendly and welcoming too.

We parked just down from the apartments which worked out well with 24 hour parking. The apartment was warm, comfortable and very clean in a perfect location for down town and the historic area around the cathedral. It is on a steep hill, but is about halfway up so not too tiring either way! It was a lovely quiet location with a tuneful wren outside in the early evening singing away. A handy table and chairs are outside your door too. We liked the kitchenette and would have made use of it had we stayed longer.
