Brilliant time, lovely hosts, bedroom comfy and breakfast great quality|Definitely recommend for a week stay. Close to the beach, dog friendly and location perfect. We will return and bring the family. Book direct as you get best prices. Close to Blackpool and Lytham and parking is free.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Cumbria Hotel. Doug and Diane made me feel very welcome throughout. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely clean. There really has been attention to detail taken for both the breakfasts and the rooms. It is also excellent value for money. Thank you. I look forward to the next stay.

The location is amazing, a stones throw from the beach. The room was cosy and had everything you needed, with the availability to ask for other things (like heaters or fans) and an honesty bar and very affordable toiletries. There is a communal microwave and fridge with cutlery and bowls/plates in the residents lounge which is great if you don’t want to eat out all the time. The continental breakfast was great and had everything I wanted. I am vegan so I brought my own milk however they did have some vegan milk there already which was great to see. The hosts were so nice and welcoming. Overall I can’t fault it, and a great price too!!

When I stayed here the service I received was above and beyond, the proprietor Doug was very helpful and friendly.
The location is perfect right on the beach my room had a beautiful view.
The bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me! Absolutely the best night sleep ever! Felt so welcomed and safe staying here.
Breakfast was fantastic, Doug really knows how to make poached eggs like a Michelin star chef!
My room was spotless and warm.
The atmosphere in the hotel was perfect for a romantic couples getaway we adored the seaside chic boutique vibe.
Lots of places to park the car on this quiet street.
Very pet friendly.
Will definitely be returning!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Cumbria Hotel, a real home from home feel. Just a short stroll to the promenade and beach. Perfect for a traditional English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 beach holiday 😀|Very well hosted with the impression that nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely b&b and perfectly suited our needs. The location is fantastic - very close to the shops, beach and a wonderful Italian restaurant called Un Momento. The room was spacious and very clean, with a good view of the sea. The staff were helpful and kind. I really liked the 'honesty box', very useful as we had forgotten to bring shower gel! Great Full English for an extra £5 per person as well. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

This is a good hotel/B&B , with welcoming proprietors in a fantastic location, with just a short walk to the beach cafe over the road if you want light bites and tea/coffeee etc. Very few shops nearby although I did pop into the small bakery (The Buttery) when leaving on the last day to get a good quality sandwich bap for lunch.|I only stayed two nights and had two cooked breakfasts, which were good value at £5 a time. My only reservations were that my room was two floors up, which would have been an issue in the past due to previous mobility issues (now thankfully more or less over) and I didn't find the beds that comfortable, so had to swap on the second night. Not really a complaint but I did find the duvets too heavy for my liking, as my preference at home is for lighter ones. Hoever I did sleep OK in the end. One of the previous reviews was for the local bus service which was from Clifton Drive, just a few minutes walk (at my pace !) north of the property. There are some bus stops along the South Promenade but for some reason they were not in use on the occasion of my visit. Overall the hotel was clean and tidy- a credit to Dougie and Diane.

A fabulous place to stay. Made to feel welcome. Comfortable lounge to sit and chat with a kettle and microwave available.
I am already planning another visit. No noisy pubs etc in the area so very peaceful but close to town and access to other bigger towns by bus and train.
