Mother Hen is a great asset to the village of Wrington. The welcome is warm, the food is great, and the ice cream superb. As an ex-cyclist, I can confirm that my kind can sniff out a good cake and coffee stop like bloodhounds. Anywhere they congregate is a sign of a good stop. I can also confirm that cyclists are frequent visitors here—testament to this little village jewel!

Stopped in here after a walk from Congresbury. Great range of homemade toasties, sandwiches and soup. We had a Chorizo & Feta toastie and Leek & Potato soup. Staff really friendly, a great little cafe would recommend folks

I visited this lovely little place today for the first time, what a gem! The food was delicious, something for everyone, including gluten free choice. It was such a friendly atmosphere & there were lots of fab gifts to buy (I couldn't resist the Jellycat bunnies). I will definitely be visiting again. Great place!

This is a very friendly street café. It is off the beaten track and well worth taking 5 minutes or so to find either from the A38 or A370. Food was delicious and owner is very friendly but is not intrusive. You can eat inside or out. This café is linked with a gift shop with all sorts of nooks and crannies.

Pretty cafe located in the heart of the village. Offering a wide selection of drinks, cakes, snacks and light bites. This is a valuable resource to the community and is at threat of closing due to increasing costs. So please use it and keep this cafe going. We stopped for a couple of coffees and a hot chocolate. There was seating inside and out. The owner was friendly and chatty and offered a lovely experience. She also stocks gifts from scarves to mugs, ideal for birthdays or just a treat. Street parking, family friendly, dogs welcome and a phone box library next door ☺️

Fabulous cosy place with delightful home made cakes and refreshing tea. Also great coffee on offer. A warm and friendly welcoming owner who was very kind, and It was just what we needed. A wonderful little village location there also, so I highly recommend popping by if you visit this charming village.
