Snipelands Bed and Breakfast - Bristol

The hostess at Snipelands made us very welcome and knows what she is doing. She is very kind, efficient, happy to communicate via phone or email. She had a list of all the local restaurants and was happy to call and book for us. She told us she generally only has one room booked at a time, or both for a single party, so it would always be quiet. The room was spacious, spotless and quiet, surrounded by fields. We watched a woodpecker digging for ants. We had our delicious breakfast in the conservatory looking out at the cows in the field. There was local honey and wonderful home made jam. |The location was perfect for Bristol, 10 minutes drive from the park n ride and the same from the football stadium. Nothing much in the village itself but not far to local pubs etc. We would definitely stay there again and really enjoyed Bristol.

We stayed at Snipelands for 2 nights at the end of September 2023, in the Flaxley (Double) Room. We were visiting friends in Nailsea and had been finding it very difficult to find good quality and reasonably priced accommodation in that area, so were very pleased to come across Snipelands. It was easy to get in touch with Anne by email and phone before our stay, and we had no problems finding the B&B when we arrived. Anne gave us a warm welcome and we particularly appreciated the information that she gave us about operating the shower and front door. The room was an excellent size, with everything we needed for a short break. As others have noted, the tea and coffee tray was one of the best we’ve ever seen in a B&B! The bathroom was also an excellent size with the shower being particularly good. We very much liked the rural location - it was very quiet at night, and we enjoyed watching the cows while we had breakfast (which was also excellent). All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at Snipelands and would certainly consider staying there again in future.

We highly recommend this B&B. Anne the host is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. ||||The room has an ensuite and both were very clean, tidy and very well equipped, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe, TV, Wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities together with welcoming chocolates and a selection of biscuits.||||The ensuite has guest towels, shampoo, shower gel and a lovely hot shower.||||A great selection for breakfast, juices, cereals and/or a very satisfying full English.||||It is situated in a peaceful location and the only thing that you hear at night are the local owls.||||The X1 and X7 bus stop is a 100yrds away and for a £2 single ticket this takes you into Bristol Town Centre. ||||We will definitely be returning to see Anne and to enjoy her hospitality in the new year!!!

Stayed with Anne for a week recently. The location is within short walking distance of the local bus stops. This means leaving the car behind is easy. The buses travel into Bristol and Weston-S-Mare regularly. Of course, at the moment, the fares are subsidised too. Win-win!

The room was large, clean and offered country views. The en-suite was large and well maintained. Breakfast (the most important bit!) was top notch. Both satisfying and clearly had been prepared with top-quality ingredients. A wide choice was available and specific requirements, such as hard eggs, were catered for with zero fuss or bother.

The room was very quiet and watching the various wild creatures such as bats, magpies, rabbits and woodpeckers from the window was an added bonus.

Anne was welcoming and keen to ensure the stay was as nice as possible. Nothing was too much trouble.

If you are looking for an affordable, quality B&B, with a knowledgable and caring host. This is it.

(Anne and Steve) We had a very good stay at Snipelands. Anne was a very friendly and welcoming host. Our room was spacious, clean and well-equipped, with very good en suite shower room. Our kingsize bed in the 'Roseland' room was comfy and the room looked out onto open fields. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, including home-made fruit jam. We would definitely return to Snipelands. Thank you, Anne!

This was everything you want from a B&B and more! Anne our host was lovely and greeted us on arrival , She explained how everything worked and if we needed anything at all just to ask. Breakfast was ordered night before with plenty of choices available, it was excellent with its homemade jams and free range eggs. Sitting at the breakfast table watching the cattle & wildlife outside was lovely. Everything about this B&B was spot on, comfy beds, very large double rooms , lovely en-suite, plenty of hot water etc. One of the best tea/coffee trays I think I’ve seen in any B&B/Hotel!! Dish of choccies by the bed. I can happily say I would highly recommend this B&B as one of the nicest we’ve stayed in and would definitely stay again if we visit area again. Oh and you are free to come & go with your own keys which is great. Thank you Snipelands ( Anne) we throughly enjoyed our stay and it was very easy access for my older Mum x

Anne is a delightful host and the standard of her B&B is top class; beautiful room with every attention to detail, calm and serene country outlook and an exceptionally comfy bed and superb adjoining bathroom. Her delicious cooked breakfast was just excellent as was her home-made jam.... we felt so very welcome and so relaxed. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing a quiet stay but within easy reach of Bristol. Thank you, Anne, Lindy and Peter Sherliker
