Went there yesterday with 9 friends whom we have known for 60 years and their husbands.

Staff were efficient and very pleasant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a wonderful time in lovely surroundings. Looking forward to next visit. Because of the popularity of this restaurant be warned, you need to book well in advance.

Me and two friends came to the hilltop for a Sunday roast, and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve lived very locally to the hilltop all my life, and never got round to booking. But absolutely wonderful food. The service was outstanding by all staff. You are made to feel welcome, the staff are efficient and accommodating. My friends and I had a truly lovely evening. Will definitely be returning. Roast beef and chocolate brownie was delicious!!!

We (16 family members) held my mother's 90th Birthday Dinner here at the Hilltop which was rescheduled from January - Darren and his team were great and went over and above to accommodate the planning, the various food allergies. The food was delicious, the service 5 star and atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and what a wonderful evening of celebrations - My mother had some tears of happiness. Thank you Darren for such a wonderful momentous evening.

We have been customers here for over 20 years.

Darren and his team always look after us.

From the eclectic Entrance, adorned with fresh flowers, to the snug bar areas with real fires, the Hilltop experience never fails to bring a smile.

The menu is homely, the food is always spot on and the service is like no other restaurant you will encounter.

Darren buzzes around, carrying food, moving chairs, putting doors on to prevent draughts - simply whatever needs doing and always with a cheeky grin.

It is quirky and fun and we love it.

Wonderful venue!
The host and staff were very friendly and the service was great. The food was delicious with a great choice of courses too. Nothing was too much trouble and my special requests were met without any fuss which made our evening an extra special one!
Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

The food was delicious and the service was great. I was there for a friends birthday and they really went above and beyond for the special occasion, although I'm told by my friend, who eats here regularly that this is perfectly normal.
