The Barn is such a special, cozy and lovely place to take a break from the outside world! It is like being in a tree house, but designed with all the comforts to make one’s stay so very special. Sophie is an amazingly kind host, greeting us with home made muffins! There are so many special touches all around The Barn which shows that Sophie is an experienced host, making her guests feel relaxed and welcome. The Barn is at the centre of many walks along the Darent Valley, an extraordinarily beautiful part of Kent. Thoroughly recommended.

We had such a lovely stay at the barn. Sophie was very welcoming, the barn is superbly equipped, well laid out and very comfortable with areas for relaxing, dining and sleeping. Upstairs on the mezzanine there is a single bed plus rollout which I am sure kids would love.||The kitchen has all the basics you need and the continental breakfast is delivered daily (either left for you to warm your own pastries or delivered at a requested time) with options of cheese, meats, croissants and pain au chocolats, plus there were some mini banana loaves left for us (and I forgot to pack the spare one which I regret very much!). Tea, coffee, orange juice and milk are all supplied (and good quality).||The bed is comfy and cosy, the bathroom has a shower with good water pressure and those things you often forget to pack (cotton buds, small toiletries) are all provided, too.||All the contact we had with Sophie and her daughter were warm and friendly and I cannot think of a single thing I would change (bar the abysmal weather).

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely loved our experience! The host is very kind and extremely accommodating, the bed is super comfortable, and the Barn itself is lovely. The train station is about a 20 minute walk away - having a car for this quiet B&B is ideal. Cannot wait for our next stay.

Could not recommend this place more. The barn is like being in a tree house. It is really special, very comfortable and clean and everything there has been done to a very high standard. Sophie was a wonderful host and had thought of everything, there were so many nice little touches like tea and coffee, lavender on the towels, a really nice breakfast. She was very relaxed and friendly. Hopefully we'll get back there again soon!

All my expectations were exceeded. The barn is a brilliant conversion in a stunning location. There was a warm greeting from the owners and all very comfortable including the bed .Good Wi-Fi , warm and well kitted out .|No hesitation in recommending - thank you Sophie.

My wife & I stayed at "Darent Hulme Barn" B&B for 10 nights from 30th May last. We chose this area as we wanted to stay in the beautiful Kent countryside, close to where we lived for 4 years in the mid-late 70's, to catch up with friends. What a wonderful find. A charming converted barn very tastefully decorated - part of an old estate set amongst beautiful gardens and trees with squirrels and beautiful birds in the grounds and rolling country fields over the road. The accommodation was roomy and most comfortable.||Hostess,Sophie Marsh was delightful and very helpful. Supplied breakfasts were more than ample and very nice. ||We were very comfortable here,felt quite at home and were most sorry to leave.||Highly recommended..

A great place for a weekend break from London. The barn is spacious, clean and cosy. It is located in a fantastic village close to pubs and a vineyard. Breakfast was fantastic. I am certain and I will be back. Highly recommended. Ps. Thank you to a great host, Sophie.

We had such a lovely stay at the barn. The setting is gorgeous, and conveniently located for wine tasting at The Mount Vineyard which was the purpose of our visit. Sophie was a charming and helpful host. Comfortable and attractive accommodation, delicious breakfast and there was a lemon drizzle cake fresh from the oven to welcome us on arrival. Perfection!
