My two night here was just great. The room is lovely with you own entrance. At night the darkness is complete ensuring you get a great night sleep in the comfy bed. Claire gives you a great welcome and is kind, helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommended you stay here.

Highly recommend this excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. Lovely host Claire. Very comfortable Garden Room with its own private entrance. Delicious full English breakfast each morning (alternatives available). Won't hesitate to book again next time I'm in the area.

Claire, the host, is fabulous!! Our stay started (or didn't!) with me getting lost! No satnav and no-one to navigate and so a hands free call to Claire resulted her trying to give directions but a bad signal caused issues. After several broken calls Claire offered to meet me in the Tesco filling station and then let me follow her back to her most beautiful bed and breakfast. By now I had also missed my booked car (again a brilliant recommendation from Claire, a very reliable firm Easton Cars) to get me to the wedding venue The Reid Rooms. All in her stride, she rearranged her own organised afternoon, contacted her husband to let him know what was going on and lept into action offering to take me to the wedding venue in her car. By now I had come to terms with the fact I was going to miss the ceremony but Claire wasn't going to let that stop her try and get me there to see some of it. Half way there and ROAD CLOSED! unperturbed and knowing the back roads Claire ploughed on and got me there!! I managed to see the last crucial 5 minutes of the ceremony. ||BUT that wasn't it! With a serious medical emergency for my mum at 11.50pm, requiring an ambulance I texted Claire to say mum and I could be very late. Arriving back to Acreland Green B and B at 3.30am, Claire had left all the lights on for us and we both settled in our respective, beautiful rooms. I met Claire in the morning and she was so warm, understanding and concerned for us both. She adapted breakfast for my mum and served up a yummy cooked breakfast for me with a huge pot of tea!||The dining room is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and the gardens are wonderful, I only wish mum and I had had time to enjoy Acreland Green more!||Claire then made sure we knew exactly how to get back to the A120 and asked me to text her when we had got home.||This bed and breakfast is not only beautiful, peaceful, has the most incredible evening views of London but is hosted by a caring and professional host who really went ABOVE and BEYOND for a one night stay!! THANK YOU Claire, its a weekend I won't forget in a hurry!

This is without doubt possibly the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Claire is a superb host and her home is warm and welcoming and the upstairs room (Great Field View) is just wonderful. A super-king bed, lovely linen and an excellent third hotel grade guest bed for our 16 year old daughter. The bathroom is huge and whilst she explained she wished to refurbish it, to be honest, we loved it. Spotlessly clean too. The view out of the window is fantastic with nothing but the countryside and we spotted Pheasants, a Fox and what we thought were a couple of Deer. It was so quiet and so restful and we stayed 2 nights for a wedding taking place at Newlands Hall. She did say there was a downstairs bedroom too if you had mobility issues as I found the stairs quite steep BUT it has handrails on both sides and it is an old cottage but beautiful. The breakfasts were huge and satisfying with homemade sausages and my husband's food allergies (Coeliac and Lactose) were well catered for with no worries. Claire is made to host, personable, energetic and fun to be around. We had forgotten how beautiful rural Essex is and she is perfectly placed just outside of Chelmsford and we ate on our first night at the Rose & Crown in Pleshy which was 5* too. All in all, beautiful wedding, wonderful hosting by Claire and a very enjoyable weekend.

Walking the Essex Way this was a perfect place to rest our weary feet. Claire made us feel immediately welcome providing very useful local info including the Digigo bus to get us to the nearest pub for supper (but we had to get a taxi back - it is a very sporadic service). Our room was very spacious and comfortable, at the rear of the house away from the road - we slept very soundly. A full English breakfast including porridge set us up for the next stage. We had lovely chats with Claire. Thank you again for looking after us both so well.

What a gem in the lovely country side. I wanted somewhere quiet for a night as had a wedding about half an hour away. This was perfect Claire could not do enough. The garden room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely cooked fresh and hot. It was a home away from home.

I spent 3 lovely nights at Acreland Green, I was greeted by the hosts Clare and John.......who are super friendly.....my room was superb, clean, comfortable and always attended to when was out.....Acreland Green is a gorgeous 400yr old house set in the Essex countryside. It was lovely to meet Clare and John, nothing was too much trouble and my breakfasts were spot on. I would like to thank them both for such a wonderful stay and I will be staying again in the future when i'm back in the UK

We stayed for 2 nights when attending a wedding at the nearby Reid Rooms. ||||We were advised to prebook a taxi as it’s a rural location - we used fargo/ECL minicabs and had no problems.||||We stayed in the Garden Room which had it’s own entrance and en suite. ||||Room was nicely decorated . A kettle,tea selection, water, and biscuits were a nice touch! A hairdryer And fan were also available. The bed was very comfy.||||Nice powerful shower and clean towels.||||Breakfast was lovely. Help yourself to Continental items, as well as hot items available to order off menu. Delicious home cooked bread.||||The b&b is in a peaceful location, perfect for a quiet & relaxed stay. No phone signal but good wifi connection in the room.||||Claire was a fabulous host.||||We’d happily return.
