I used Essex Hog for my 60th and retirement party they were amazing. They can and set up their "stall" and served the amazing hog roast bang on time. All my guests raved about the roast, stuffing and of course banging crackling. Do not hesitate to book these guys of you want your guests to be well fed.

I had Essex Hog Roasts for my wedding of 200 people and they were absolutely fantastic! The canapés and main meal were amazing, all cooked to perfection and so many of guests have commented on how lovely the food and servers were. Kat was so lovely to work with, really professional, she went out of her way to make additional things I asked to be served that wasn’t on the menu. She also come and brought me and my husband a plate of delicious food when I she noticed I was caught up with chatting to people at the wedding. Kat and her team are such lovely people who use high quality produce and cook it well. I couldn’t recommend them any higher. Thanks so much

This review will not do justice to how much we appreciate Hilary and team at Essex Hog Roasts.

We were let down by our Wedding caterers less than 48 hours before the big day. I got in touch with Hilary and with only a days notice she managed to provide us with a stunning BBQ buffet for 100 guests. We also has 10 pescatarians, and a couple vegetarians to negotiate - all taken care of.

Nearly all our guests complimented us on the food, and I can personally vouch for the positive feedback and say the food was incredible.

Professional and clean, they also arrived and left without me even noticing. Could not recommend more highly - thanks for saving the day guys!

We booked Essex Hog Roast for a garden birthday party, absolutely fantastic service/price/food provided. Kat was our main contact who talked us through the whole process then we had a younger boy and girl (I believe her name was Abbie) who were both brilliant on the day. Hilary and her team provided all of the food at our wedding in London in April 2016. I can highly recommend them if anyone is considering them.

We had a mixture of meats and salads for our main meal, plus canapés and a hog roast later in the evening. They worked with all of our demands and despite it being a difficult venue to work with - it was a dry hire so everything had to be brought on site - they managed to make the day run seamlessly. We received lots of compliments on the food.

In summary, excellent service at a very fair price. You and your wedding guests will be happy!

We met Hilary at her house to discuss plans for an 80th party.She is a lovely lady, professional, patient and competent . Following that meeting she responded to emails and phone calls quickly and we had confidence that everything was in hand. The food at the party was delicious and plentiful. Hilary’s team were efficient and polite and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Essex Hog Roast and cannot fault the excellent service we received.

Kat and her team were absolutely AMAZING!
From the start our party was full of issues due so many allergies !
Kat was utterly unfazed and professional … she catered for every single one and the food was absolutely phenomenal.

Essex Hog Roasts did the most wonderful hog and lamb roasts at our wedding (July 2016). The canapés and salads were wonderful and they also catered for the veggies, vegans and gluten free set! The team were lovely and really helpful with everything and did a great job on the day. Would definitely recommend!
