I cannot express quite how amazing Piglets is!! Everything has been thought of with such attention to detail and high quality. The hosts are really lovely - so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The facilities are fantastic - before booking I hadn't quite appreciated all that was available. ||The food was exceptional - breakfast cooked fresh and to order and the opportunity to have a lovely Al fresco meal on the beautiful Mediterranean terrace in the evening. All made with quality fresh ingredients. And of course the honour bar was very exciting with such choice!||The room felt luxurious with a large comfortable bed and again such attention to detail. The natural pond swimming pool was a unique and wonderful experience to swim in and to lounge next to - so relaxing and peaceful. I definitely felt like I was on holiday!||Piglets is also located in a beautiful part of Essex, easily accessible to lovely places such as Saffron Walden and Audley End amongst others.||The whole experience was just wonderful and I am so gutted that we did not discover this absolute gem sooner. We definitely would have been regulars!! It was all just an amazing experience that I will definitely not forget and would have loved to repeat!

Our second stay in the wonderful Piglets luxury B&B. The hospitality is exceptional. Fantastic, high-quality food, both breakfast and supper. The honesty bar is so good with every drink you can imagine. Nothing is too much to accommodate the guests. Used the wonderful freshwater pool. Cold but exhilarating. Very comfy sun loungers too. Very comfortable rooms with fresh milk and coffee machine. We couldn't fault a thing about our stay here in the beautiful Essex countryside. Thanks again.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Piglets for our Wedding Anniversary. Max & Chrissie are fantastic hosts and make you feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble for them.|The rooms are gorgeous with very large beds, everything is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean.|Delicious food, plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meals. Best ingredients used, locally sourced, homegrown produce. Well stocked honesty bar with a very large gin selection.|Great facilities on site including a natural swimming pond which we were very lucky to be able use as it was very hot weather during our stay, it was a welcome relief taking a dip in there at the end of the day.|Great location, Saffron Walden is close by and is well worth a visit. |Thank you Chrissie and Max for a lovely stay and we hope to return in the not too distant future. We would highly recommend a stay at Piglets. |

Enjoyed our first ever stay at Piglets. It is in an idyllic location with only the sounds of nature, a perfect getaway from busy lifestyles. We stayed in Ashdon room which has a balcony overlooking the swimming pond. The food really is exceptional. We are well travelled & have been lucky enough to stay in many 5* hotels around the world & we both agreed the breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced. |It’s a shame they are closing at the end of the summer so make sure you book asap!

My wife and I visited piglets at the start of April and the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional, max and chrissie were the perfect hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The welcome tea and cake is a lovely gesture and makes you feel immediately comfortable with the surroundings. We were shown around the property by max while chrissy prepared the tea and cake. We had a meal there on our first night which was lovely but the breakfast for me was just the best, it really sets you up to visit the local towns and villages. |Thank you once again for our wonderful short break.

We stayed at this B and B for three nights whilst taking part in a family celebration recently in Saffon Walden. The quality across the board was exceptional!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|There is a superb breakfast menu and evening meal selection. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. We loved the deep bath. ❤️🛀|As a self confessed coffee addict the lavazza machine in our room was much appreciated! A cold water dip in the freshwater swimming pool was an experience not to be missed. Chrissie|and Max have built a luxurious and unique business to be sure. The secret ingredient is their personal gift of genuine hospitality. We wish them all the best in the future.

I'm not sure what more we can add to the collection of already stellar reviews. |We stayed 2 nights, and were sad to leave our B&B, come hotel, come home from home. |My wife was brave enough to take on the pool, whilst I of course braved the snooker, the bar, the lounge, breakfast and dinner - I am sure that you get the picture (she did of course join me).|Many, many thanks to Max and Chrissie, our effusive hosts, for a truly wonderful stay.
