We had a great meal at The Black Swan. We turned up on a warm spring Saturday, and there was plenty of seating both in and outside. The weather was great, so we sat in the beer garden, which had a super relaxed vibe. The menu is excellent, and it loads more options for everyone. Our group had two vegetarians, and everybody found a dish that suited them.
After ordering at the bar, our food came out quite quickly! We averaged the scores, and collectively, it came out at a 4/5.
There were no issues (except for the adult sausage and mash, which never came with veg). The fish burger was superb, the plant burgers cooked to perfection, and it was a great meal overall.
The staff were also accommodating and friendly! Thanks!

First time coming for food this week & needless to say massively disappointing! It wasn’t busy at all and the food took a long time to come out. Ordered a sharing platter which was served on a dinner plate so not enough at all to share & the salad was soggy! £17 a pop too which absolutely did not reflect the amount of food provided and the quality too! Was handed a red hot plate and burned by finger as was not told it was hot. Nothing done apart from a manager offering a free drink! Sharing nachos were horrendous and I’ve no idea how any self respecting chef would be happy to serve them to anyone Overall a huge flop seeing as the outlook of the revamp looks great the food and service absolutely do not match!! Will be giving a miss from now on sadly and it’s my local.

A beautiful Sunday lunch, nearly as good as mine!
Roast beef was cooked perfectly and a really good selection of 6 tasty vegetables. We opted for the extra sides of roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, and Yorkshire puddings (which were out of this world).
There was no room for desert!

Finding the location was a breeze, parked up, entered & greeted with a lovely smiling member of staff who greeted me with a warm welcome. Had a stout alternative to Guinness, which was smooth. Friends arrived, sat down for something to eat. Great choice & delicious.
It's worth a try out, will be going back for another enjoyable experience

DO Not Eat HERE
The head chef here must be embarrassed what they are serving.
Family of 3 had the most over cooked over processed food we have had in years.
Wife damaged her crown on the over cooked food.

Food was really nice but the service slow and my order was forgotten / missed. One adult meal was brought out waaaaay too early and was cold by the time the rest of the food arrived and served before the children got theirs. My meal was forgotten so I didn’t receive it until most of the group (8 adults + 2 children) had got most of the way through theirs.

The staff are really nice and welcoming, the food was really nice (when it finally arrived).

Very slim chance of returning! If I wanted meals at different times I would go to Wagamama
