If you are after the experience of a real pub with home cooked food then this is the place. |A good sized room with everything you need .|The pub food menu was a menu I look for, spoilt for choice and most homecooked as opposed to ordered in.|Lovely welcome from all of the team too. Certainly recommend to stop or just to go in and eat in a quiet pub atmosphere.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter and son in law.
Ordered a cheese and chutney sandwich. Largest sandwich I've ever seen, came with chips and salad, all very good.
Sat in the garden out the back of the pub which is dog friendly.
Good selection of ciders.
Staff and service great.
Can't comment on the rooms as I wasn't staying there.

Good beers & vino. I had a delicious rib eye. My wife had the fish pie- great taste, just a bit dry.
Nice beer garden out back. There is accommodation if required. Be patient on service. The staff are lovely but need more help at busy times. Life is too short to get grumpy.

A lovely pub with good service. Years ago we stayed there for one night. The accommodation is lovely and the breakfast was very good. With a varied selection of either continental or a full English breakfast .
This time myself and my wife went there for a weekday lunch it absolutely lovely. The bar lady who may have been the owner was great and cheerful. Definitely worth a visit hence five stars.

We were here for one night, as a stay on the Cotswold Way. It is directly on the path. Our room was large, the bed was comfortable and the shower fine. The decor could be freshened up a bit, but the room was clean. Dinner offered the usual except that there was a wide choice of seafood. I had a salmon fillet and it was good.

Visited for lunch. Pretty good overall. Just a couple of issues. Broccoli tasted old as did carrots. Gammon very salty. Everything else was fine though.

Popped in for a spot of lunch 07/06/2024. Trad pub fare but nicely done. We had a gammon & egg and a scampi, both served with peas and chips, all for a reasonable £21 from the lunch menu. Pub's decor very tired and unappealing and in need of a facelift and the loos were tatty and smelled of damp. Okay for a drink and/or a meal at lunchtime but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner despite what looked like a good menu.
