As a social group of 40 people we very much enjoyed our evening at this hotel. The room put aside for us was beautifully set out and a perfect size. The dance floor was amply big enough for us all and the D.J. hit all the right notes for the whole evening. The reception staff, and waiting staff were excelent and most helpful, The bed rooms were spacious, clean and after a hard evening most welcoming.|Sumerizing it couldn't have been better.

Excellent food, especially breakfast. Good clean rooms nice size and well maintained. Hotel is traditional with a curious history, surrounded by enormous trees and very quiet despite being near the town centre. The gardens would be ideal for wedding photos. Good to see it has a future as a hotel, great potential, rather than the rumours of it's demise. Hopefully this will enable function bookings to pick up and further encourage its success.
Staff were diligent and efficient, especially the waiting staff and in particular Sheila, the breakfast waitress, who made a special effort to interact with the guests to make them feel welcome. Salt of the earth and a great asset to this hotel.

A wonderful weekend away at the Lismoyne Hotel. We stayed in the Ansell Suite, beautifully clean and well presented. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and the food top notch. A special thank you to our server Joshua, who was friendly, polite and very helpful. Overall a lovely stay away!

We attended the ABBA party last night. I didn't see the event advertised anywhere so was grateful that our friends did and got tickets. You seem to have fallen off the radar in recent months with regard to advertising (used to find out what was going on with your advertising in the free magazine and the newsletter). We thought you were closing down again to be honest. Last night was fantastic fun. Really well organised. Buffet was more than we expected. And all your young bar staff were lovely and a credit to you. Looking forward to more events like this - get your publicity sorted better though! No point in arranging events and then keeping them a secret. 🙂

We recently had our work Christmas party here, and I have to say how fabulous it was! Hotel was lovely and Christmassy, staff were happy and helpful, food was delicious, atmosphere was great! We all stayed the night after our dinner and dance, and all rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious! Was a great party evening and all 19 of us said how great it was. Many thanks, and we hope to visit again!

What a treasure. I held my birthday party here and it was all made extra special by the amazing staff and beautiful function room. The food was delicious and bar staff so friendly. Lovely spacious rooms with Special rate for party guests staying over and ample parking. Breakfast was also lovely. Can’t praise the staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you The Lismoyne. I really hope to be back.

Great location. I went in there for an afternoon tea with my wife and had a very good experience. The staff is very welcoming.They helped to arrange afternoon tea at a very short notice which I really appreciated. There were a few varieties of tea that were out of stock but other than that everything was fine.

Food: the Scones were very nice and I just loved them. This was a Christmas special menu so paid £5 extra per person. The other items were also nice. They also did vegan sandwiches for us which again was a very nice gesture from them. Thank you and I hope to visit the place again.

Had a company meal here. I had last been to the Lismoyne in the late 80s / early 90s. Service is good and friendly. Parts of the hotel are quiet grand. I still find it to be quite dated though generally and the vegetarian / vegan food options are very limited / poor I would say. Nice staff, but I think the hotel has some catching up to do in some areas to be competitive and up to date against other options available, especially as a location for a vegetarian meal.
