We had a delightful stay at The Harbour Hotel having made use of a newspaper offer. A lovely friendly welcome from reception staff was a great start to our stay. We had a super room outside of the main hotel, with a stunning view of the Estuary. Spotlessly clean, superb linens, free Gin for when the sun went down (!) and great refreshments. Food at the hotel was excellent, the Chefs clearly have a good palate! Piping hot and I thought the cheese soufflé was one of the best I’ve had. Service was great; very friendly and lots of smiles, second night was slightly chaotic with staff but didn’t spoil our evening. The porter is to be especially commended for the way he moved and parked/re-parked cars in extremely tight spaces, also nothing was too much trouble for him. |Highly recommend this Salcombe hotel.

We recently visited the Harbour Hotel for last minute get away. I can’t say enough positive things about the hotel. The staff were excellent. We were greeted by Ebby who gave us great local recommendations. The check in was smooth and we were offered a table in the lounge after our long drive. Alex and James were incredibly attentive. They were causal but professional. The next day we enjoyed a lovely breakfast overlooking the Estuary, Adam accommodated all our needs and made sure my dietary requirements were met: this is something that goes a long way. We asked for some recommendations at reception and Chloe gave us some good tips that kept us entertained for a few hours. Overall a lovely stay. What stood out was the constant attention to detail by the staff. I would highly recommend!

Spent just two nights at this wonderful hotel, and enjoyed its wonderful facilities.|Room with estuary view, was just as promised with amazing views, very comfortable bed and spacious room.|Jetty Bar/Restaurant was again very comfortable and plenty of drink options, with a particularly good espresso martini. Restaurant food was well presented and very fresh and tasty. All members of staff were attentive and friendly, without being overbearing. |The Pool/Spa area was exceptionally clean and well maintained, we used the pool, sauna and steam room many times throughout our short stay and it was never too busy. ||The only reason this was not rated as a 5 Star visit was purely down to our breakfast experience. As with many other reviews, we felt that an additional £10 charge for any cooked breakfast, including just poached egg on toast, was totally unjustified bearing in mind the cost of the stay. Occasionally a very inexpensive B&B would have an additional charge for a cooked breakfast, but not a hotel of this calibre. The continental breakfast, although offering a good choice of cereals, fruit and juices, fell very short in other areas. In particular the Cold meat and cheese option which consisted of just a slice of ham and the choice of just two cheeses. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and a continental options usually consists of a variety of cold meats and fish ie Smoked salmon together with many cheese options. Croissants were only available on day one, and just Pain au chocolate on day two. ||You have an excellent hotel with amazing facilities and team members, please just review the breakfast policy.

We had a wonderful dinner at this beautiful hotel. I had booked a deal online where I had use of the spa and the swimming pool for an hour and a half and this entitled me to £30 off dinner in the restaurant. I was really pleased with myself to have got this deal and to be able to have the dog with us whilst dining.
I had a wonderful time in the spa and when I met my husband and the dog in the bar afterwards and we headed to the restaurant where I explained about the deal and was told I was in the wrong hotel. The right one was 2 miles away. Woops! Apparently I had managed to get into the wrong spa at the wrong time (I was booked an hour later) as well as in the wrong hotel!! 😵‍💫None of this was any problem to the Harbour hotel. The restaurant manager was very helpful. They honoured the deal, found us a table in the restaurant-with the dog and made the evening really special for everyone. The food was delicious -the cheese soufflé was amazing and the fish excellent. The staff are very special in this hotel and it shows in everything they do and the way they treat you. It was just a great five star experience. Next time we will stay in the hotel as well as dine and use the spa!

We have just arrived home after a stay at the Harbour Hotel Salcombe as part of the Winter Wellness break. Hotel was so lovely! As mentioned before parking is a bit tricky but your car is parked for you. Staff on check-in were very welcoming. Our room was clean and tidy and had a balcony with great views over the estuary. We ate in the Jettty restaurant for our 2 course set menu. The food was nice, my only criticism was the dish was quite salty (Cod and Crab dish) Restaurant staff were very attentive. It was my husbands birthday and were treated to a glass of fizz. Thanks to James and Alex. Continental breakfast each morning was great a good selection. We also had a chicken BLT club sandwich one day, this was delicious. We used the spa facilities which were great and had a feel good massage. Victoria was fab, very friendly and professional. Very relaxed environment and feel very refreshed. The hotel is in a great location, we walked to the nearby Victoria Inn and would also recommend this. Thanks for a great stay, just wished we could have stayed longer!

This is a fantastic hotel. Parking is a nightmare but a lovely man parks it for you ! |Checking in was easy answer we were personally shown to our room. The room was beautiful with a huge comfortable bed (best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in) and a separate seating area. The room overlooked the estuary and we had a huge balcony , the view was amazing. Bathroom clean but would have liked walk in shower and not over bath. Bathrobes and slippers available and a fridge .|Complimentary Salcombe gin was in a carafe in the room and ice and lemon was sent to the room. The gin tasted amazing. |We walked into Salcombe (5 mins) to a great pub for food. |A continental breakfast was included in the room rate and the muffins were the best I’ve ever tasted. |Staff lovely and room very clean and modern.|Really lovely hotel with amazing views I miss waking up to it🥲

Just returned from a weekend stay at this beautiful hotel. |The staff are excellent, particularly the porter and the restaurant/bar staff. The porter greets with a smile and offers to park your car. |Reception staff were friendly and efficient. ||Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and our evening meals were also of high quality. |The 2nd night in the restaurant was more chaotic than the first as they were very busy. However, we did feel we were forgotten about which was a shame. We were sat having a drink before dinner and we had to remind them we had a table booked. This meant we were seated quite sometime after our booking. I know it wasn’t deliberate and they did apologise but it wasn’t the service we’d received the night before. Then the meal came without the side dish of potatoes, and by the time they came out we had ate the mains. Again this was a shame and the only apology was a refund for the potatoes. This was a slight disappointment as the staff are all so friendly and we can see how hard they work. ||Apart from this slight hiccup the Hotel is excellent, and we will definitely be back.|Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The positioning of the Hotel is superb. We did walk down to their new Hotel on the beach and had a couple of drinks there. We then took the complimentary shuttle bus back to our Hotel. Excellent service. |All in all we would highly recommend this Hotel and Salcombe itself is beautiful.

Room i thought was very good value at £160 on a friday in Feb, especially considering spa access both days and breakfast - just a shame there were no slots left for spa treatments so couldn't use spa credit.

Room was clean, comfortable, loved that we had a bath and even had a view of the estuary. Gin was a nice touch. All the facilities we needed. Please can you confirm what brand of instant hot chocolate (gold packet) and crisps there was in the room? Need to buy some!!

Staff were nice and helpful, you're definitely treated well here.

Spa was brilliant, intimate, well maintained and relaxing. Fresh fruit was a lovely touch.

Breakfast was excellent, really happy with the continental selection. We chose to eat locally for dinner which I kind of regret - the menu online put me off but actually seemed nicer when we got there.
