We stayed two nights in the beautiful, historic community of Modbury. The owners, Michelle and Tony, have done a wonderful job in renovating their 18th century home. The en suite room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great, just around the corner from historic St. George Church and on the end of Church St. the main street in town. Everything was within walking distance including all local sights, tourist information center, restaurants and shops. Michelle was a perfect host and cooked an awesome English breakfast. We highly recommend the Laburnam and would stay here again.

We stayed for three nights at this very welcoming, spotlessly clean delightful b&b in Modbury. The ensuite bedroom is really lovely with beams, a very comfy bed and a cute little ensuite. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and the owners are very nice friendly people. If ever you want to stay in Modbury we can't recommend Laburnum strongly enough, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely go back there on our next trip .

I stayed here for just one night but wish I could have stayed longer. ||||The Laburnum B&B is situated just a few steps from Modbury's historic church. Parking in Modbury can be a bit of a problem but The Laburnum has it's own parking at the rear of the property. There are 2-3 good pubs in Modbury which serve food. My en-suite room was spotless with great facilities and Michelle and Tony were very welcoming hosts.||||Breakfast was spot on with home made jams and lovely farm eggs. I would recommend staying here!

First Class B&B situated near the Church and easy walk to all amenities. House is pre Georgian but has had an excellent renovation. We stayed in the room with shared Bathroom no problems as you share with owners. Rooms are generous and clean providing all that you might need.||Breakfast is not for the faint hearted as fruit, cereal, toast and an excellent full English cooked breakfast is served - ask Michelle for the mushrooms cooked to her recipe.||History and village information is also a feature - would definitely stay again.

Laburnum B & B in Modbury, Devon is a charming, cozy, comfortable, and friendly place to stay a night or a week! Michelle and Tony Hardisty who run Laburnum are 2 of the kindest, knowledgeable, and helpful people I've met in all of the UK. The orange rhubarb compote is fabulous!! Michelle helped me find the church burial plaque belonging to my 9 times great grandfather Oliver Hill. For hers and Tony's friendship I will be forever grateful.

On arrival the accommodation x 2 pods looked lovely however on arrival one of the toilets was blocked as the owners were away we had to use another accommodations toilet until the following day .we found a used plaster in our bed which was not so nice and the day of departure we had no power despite reading the rules on the wall and only having the shower and kettle on at the same time the power still went off .we messaged the number provided but had no response after 2 hours of waiting we decided to go and get a cup of tea and breakfast else where .||On return we emailed the owners explaining all that had happened .to have a reply blaming us for everything that went wrong was not acceptable and not how you run a business. ||Will not be recommending this accommodation and certainly will not be re booking

Lovely B&B, spotlessly clean, comfortable and a host that cant do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Central location in Modbury and a nice evening meal in the White Hart within walking distance. Thank you Michelle.
