A very belated review, but nevertheless still well deserved.|My daughter and I had the most wonderful stay here. We were made very welcome on arrival with tea and home made scones. Our room was beautiful, with a comfy bed and very stylish bathroom. |The breakfasts were incredible! Really different and absolutely delicious. We would very highly recommend staying here, the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in ! We will be back!

Truly brilliant. Breakfast was AMAZING. The hosts are wonderful, very friendly and advise on the area. The rooms are spotlessly clean. We stayed for a week and loved the entire time. We will be returning. ||And if you are there for the Italian night, it's amazing as well. ||Arguably the best bed and breakfast I've stayed in.

We spent a few wonderful days in this beautiful accommodation - everything was perfect down to a t. Especially the gorgious breakfast with different optians was delicous and also the evenings in the cozy bar with whisky and local gin. Many thanks to Scott and Alistair for the warm welcome and good tips for our daily trips for excoursion the surrounding area. We felt very comfortable every second.

From the minute you arrive, Scott and Alistair make their home yours, with a very warm welcome-a cup of tea and a scone!||This was our second stay here and we were not disappointed, in fact we were as thrilled with our stay this time as much as the last.||Poppy and Lola their little dogs are all part of the scene and our dog loves them!||Our room was the Dartmoor room, again themed accordingly with beautiful bedding, quirky artefacts and white fluffy towels! Bed was mega comfortable and the cleanliness was exceptional!||We were able to relax in the garden area on 2 of our evenings there which is tranquil and fitting with the Lotus Lounge, a relaxing, cosy cabin.||Doggies are also given a warm welcome with their own bowl and packet of treats! ||We booked the Italian Feast meal for our anniversary and the food prepared and cooked by Janey was just amazing..||Scott provided our breakfasts which were creatively different and scrumptious! ||Scott and Alistair will always give you their time and knowledge of the local area and provide suggestions for places to visit. The email sent prior to our visit was packed with valuable information including suggestions for places to eat in the area.||We will be returning next year for sure and look forward to enjoying time once again at the outstanding Brightham House||Thank you both||Barry and Elaine Hoile

Wonderful boutique B&B close to Salcombe and many other lovely places to visit. The bedrooms are amazing, each individually designed. We stayed in the Pavillion room which is Art Deco, spacious with a very comfy king size bed, tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits each day plus bottles of water. Large shower with gorgeous fluffy white cotton towels. And the breakfast, the choice and the quality is fantastic thanks to owner Scott, truly delicious. The lounge area, dining room, bar area and garden are very special with much attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble for Scott and Alastair, a great couple. They have a varied knowledge of the area and are happy to recommend places to visit for the day or to eat in the evening. On a Thursday there is special Italian evening at the B&B, a must!|We enjoyed our visits to Salcombe with a walk to South Sands, Hope Cove, Totnes and Dartmouth all within easy reach of the Brightham House.

Scott & Alistair are the best hosts along with their dogs Lola & Poppy. They are welcoming, informative and only too happy to help guide your day. Dog friendly is a plus. The honesty bar has such a great selection perfect for that last one for the ditch nightcap. The décor was quirky, retro, fun and entertaining, yet relaxing and reflective like Buddha himself had walked through their doors.|Our short stay felt like we had been there for a longer period, the rooms reflect the style and originality using texture and a mixture of interesting interior design. Everything was clean and complete with all the amenities you expect from a 5 star hotel let alone a B&B.|Breakfast here is theatre, reminiscent of the late John Tovey, the menu has something for everyone almost too difficult to decide, not because of its size, but purely because you really won’t know what to try next.|Sadly the weather did not allow us to enjoy the peace the garden could offer but as we stayed in the Garden Room we were able to enjoy its serenity.|Obviously we will look forward to going back.|Ruthie & Jon, Crowborough

We had a fabulous couple of days staying here. Scott and Alistair were the perfect hosts, great attention to detail. They work hard! The breakfast, in terms of choice and quality, was the best we've had in a guest house, ever! Highly recommended.
