Absolutely lovely hotel. |Came with the husband as he was working locally and I came to look after him and keep him company as I’m now retired. |My one regret is his contract ended abruptly when he was moved to another job in different area, all this before I managed to use the lovely pool and leisure centre on-site , and free. |The staff are so very helpful and informative. |Hotel is situated in Idle , which is about three miles ( maybe2) to Bradford city centre. |I was here during March and April and had one week with no transport of my own. Here with dogs I was able to walk to Bradford , to Shipley and to the Leeds Bradford airport . There’s loads of local walks, yes a built up area in the main, there’s plenty safe walking. |Great shopping if you have transport or there’s a local few shops, a Morrisons and Aldi if walking.|Room a bit dated, but the plus, which outweighed that , is that rooms are huge. And warm. Also rooms really clean. |Next door to a lovely , dog friendly pub onsite , serves great food and a decent pint. |I’m hoping husbands work will bring us back. |Swimsuit at the ready.

A bit dated but clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. In a good location near where my relatives live. My only gripe is that the wifi doesn’t work if your room is far away from the main foyer.

Had a lovely one night stay. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool, it was the best part of our trip to Bradford. Nice big hotel room, staff were all friendly, we had a fab night. We enjoyed snacks and a few drinks in the bar, if we’re ever back in Bradford we’d come again, thank you.

I stayed at the Highfield whilst visiting friends in Bradford. It is a family run business, and I found all the members of staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional. The room I stayed in was basic(and if I'm honest, could do with sprucing up a touch), but clean. The amenities included a TV, iron and board, a hairdryer, kettle, and a selection of breakfast drinks. On site, the hotel has its own pub(also called the Highfield, not surprisingly),a diner and an excellent wellness centre. The centre includes a decent sized gym, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a superb saltwater pool. These are all free for the hotel's guests to use. The pub was good as well, and on Saturdays, they have live acts performing. The beer was reasonably priced as well. Breakfast is served at the hotel itself and was nice. It was a pleasant change to eat scrambled eggs that actually had taste as most places these days nuke them in the microwave. There is ample parking at the hotel, and a disabled main entrance. Access to the wellness centre can also be gained from within the hotel and this is also disabled friendly. Given the price(£70 per night on average) and the location, I would stay hete again.

Room - '80 style, rather clean, but smelly. I think no one stayed there for a while.
You can treat access to the Internet as non-existent. Signal was so low that I had to use my phone to connect my laptop.
Water dripping from the leaking roof in the middle of corridor to a bucket, which seems it will stay there for years.
No breakfasts, restaurant nearby serves food form about 10:00 am, so you end up eating in the room.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff are so amazing and friendly. The swimming pool and spa was lovely. The rooms were so spacious and comfortable. I would recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay special. My daughter and I were able to relax and chill and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely overnight stay.
Car parking next to the hotel.
Very large room, and bath with a shower.
Staff were really friendly.
We booked direct and could have free access to the gym, spa and pool.
Got a discount for a meal at the pub next door, and had a great value breakfast.
Would definitely recommend

The room was large but quite shabby and outdated. Mould covered almost every wall in the bathroom. There was stains over the carpets in the room. The room was freezing with no additional heating system appart form the small radiator. The main issue was the shower, it was just a little dribble. Once highlighted to the staff they did get on to it quickly and reported that it was back to full power, although it was improved it was still a weak dribble. They offered a room change but we were away all day so unable to move. Overall, not a great place to stay, not good value for money but could be worse.
