Stayed here whilst walking the Tamara Way. Very clean and comfy although slightly disappointed the room was not en suite (we couldn't remember if we had booked for this. or not). Pat was a lovely host and the breakfast was excellent. Beautiful garden.

From the moment we arrived in this stunning location, our host Pat was there to greet and welcome us after a 10 hour drive. We were made to feel really at home and the B&B itself was a beautiful Victorian house with period features (and a pretty little garden where friendly rescue cat Charlie liked to hang out!). We were supposed to share a bathroom with the adjacent room but actually had it to ourselves which was great! The bedroom was really comfortable and clean and had a homely feel to it. Minimal traffic noise too at nighttime. There’s a huge choice of food for breakfast - I had special dietary requirements and Pat made me a delicious fruit salad every morning - it was like nothing was too much trouble and a gesture that I really appreciated. My friend had the full English and said how much he enjoyed it. We wanted somewhere to crash after a concert, but instead felt like it was a proper holiday. Thank you, Pat and Ken for your hospitality - I won’t forget it and will be sure to recommend you to anyone travelling in the area.

Highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Well located for local amenities and well kept. The owners are an absolute joy and very accommodating. Felt that this was probably better than booking an expensive hotel having spent 3 nights there. If you’re considering a trip to the area the price point is more than justified given the service and relaxed demeanour of the owners. Top marks

We had a great stay at this B&B last weekend.
Very friendly. Good location. Rooms clean and nicely decorated, equipped with everything what you could possibly can need. Comfortable beds. Fantastic cooked breakfast. So happy with our stay. Definitely would recommend to our friends and family.

I wanted a single room but they have non so was given a family room and I was asked quite rightly to use just one bed. The bed was quite comfy and the room reasonably clean though dusty cob webs in bathroom and a take away sauce container was easily found. No hair dryer in the room and when I needed one I went and rang the bell but the owners were not in. I couldn’t use my electric tooth brush as there was no shaver socket. Water for the room was in a bottle on a tray but not replenished the second day. Everything else was fine but it’s the first place I have ever stayed where no razor socket or hair drier not available. ||||Breakfast was disappointing in respect I was really hungry after the cooked breakfast. There were no cereals i wanted and fruit but very pleasant. I don’t eat sausage or bacon so just had egg, tomato, mushrooms and beans. Usually this is more than enough for me but the portions were very small. The second day the breakfast was just warm the poached egg I would not have served my family and it was hard. I filled up on nice warm toast and as I was offered more on the first morning I had more. however on the second day there was no such offer and they seemed too busy as another couple had arrived. The decaf coffee was instant and tasted poor. ||The host was very obliging when I said I’d only be staying 2 nights not 3 however. They were not full, having just 2 guests the first night and then 4 guests the second night ||In all for what I paid as there wasn’t much of a reduction for single occupancy it was very expensive for what I got. I certainly will not be staying there again

We stayed for a night to get away over the bank holiday weekend and explore the area a little. Ken and Pat are friendly and lovely hosts, and Ken makes a great breakfast! We had the double room (the pink room) with shared bathroom which was fine. Room was spacious enough with lots of room to store clothes etc. Only slight downside was the road noise as the B&B is on the main road, but this wasn't much of a concern. Lovely deep bath in the bathroom too! Free wifi throughout, TV in the room.

Nice owners. Two stars however, as the bathroom made our stay difficult. The bathroom is carpeted and does not have a proper shower. In 2022, for the price that we paid (£200 per night), i feel that such an old fashioned bathroom is unacceptable.

We booked this at the last minute after cutting our camping holiday short due to heavy rain and strong winds and are so glad we did. The room was well appointed and we were made to feel at home straightaway. After a dry and comfy night's sleep, we had a fabulous breakfast and wen on our way. Whether you are staying for a night or a week, I can highly recommend.
