The restaurant was understandably very busy however service and food standard didn't suffer, we all thoroughly enjoyed the set menu and it reflected extremely good value for money and was very well presented. The wone list was good and we shared a bottle of rose before heading out to the garden to enjoy a bottle of Champagne. A really nice afternoon on what i'm sure was a very hectic day for all the staff involved!

Another outstanding meal at Lanes for a special birthday. Everything was delicious and the Roast beef melted in the mouth. Despite having a power cut the staff remained calm, professional and very friendly as always. Once power came back the food was served promptly and piping hot.

Very pleasant stay. Extremely clean throughout and I would highly recommend a stay here. Attentive staff and great food in the restaurant. One staff member "Jo" is exceptionally commendable. Great service, always happy and attentive with great knowledge for recommendations regarding the restaurant menu and easy conversation. A true hospitality professional, which is consistent with each staff member I crossed paths with.

We were joined last Saturday evening by a group of friends to see the Frank Sinatra tribute night. We've been a few times before, and the food has always been impeccable.|But sadly, not on this occasion, two of our group had the corn dogs to start, and to be honest, they were of poor quality and more like a main course, it was like a large canoe sat on the plate, too much for a starter.|The other food disaster was the Jambalaya, |I really don't know where to begin with this awful dish that was overcooked and supposedly should have come with prawns and chorizo, I didn't have a single prawn and the chorizo made a very brief appearance in the form of two small pieces, the whole thing |was an overcooked stodgy mess and not worth the money that we paid. It was absolutely shocking! |On a lighter note, the music was fantastic,| I hope they didn't give the poor chap a plateful of Jambalaya after he had finished.|Lanes, the paying public deserves better!

Went for Sunday lunch as they do a great offer of 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £30. There was a good selection of starters, mains, and deserts we decided to have the three courses. The starter I had was 3 chicken wings, which were best eaten by hand. These were so hot that they nearly burned your fingers. The main I had was roast beef, which was not very pink, and the plate was cold, including the veg. I also thought the potatoes were slightly underdone. But overall, I did enjoy the meal. Two of our party did ask for theirs to be reheated, but fresh hot food came out shortly after. I wished I had done the same, but as I was so hungry, I had eaten most of the meat and some of the vegetables and felt either inappropriate to ask for a fresh warm roast and would have been to full for my desert. The desert made up for the main as it was hot and gorgeous and probably one of the best apple tarts I have ever had. Overall, this is a very good place to have lunch, and nothing is too much trouble, and the staff are most attentive.

I recently attended an event at Lanes, that had exclusive tickets, however this was not exclusive so many of the drinkers who attended the establishment could freely join in the activities that were hosted.
I thought this was unfair, and and for a refund.
I was simply refused.

We haven't eaten at Lanes for at least 6 months so we were delighted to find that our meal and service was once again, spot on.|The cod fillet with veg and a sauce/ bisque was SO good. Sticky toffee pudding finished off a perfect lunch. Thanks again, we won't leave it so long.

Never been here before, |We were given a voucher as a wedding gift and decided to go out for food for valentines evening,|On arrival the staff were exceptional, warm and welcoming.|We were shown to our table and from start to finish the staff were great, |Having chosen the valentines menu, it was definitley worth it, The food came out quite quick and it was all so very delicious.|We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and would go back.|Thank you to all staff on shift |👌 |I would highly recommend A⭐️
