We arrived wet and muddy after walking across the moor, and had a wonderful friendly welcome with tea and cake. The room is spotless and beautifully furnished, with a gorgeous bathroom (top quality shower gel etc) and lovely views across the garden to hills beyond. Debbie had kindly rung the local pub to let them know we were coming, so we got a great welcome there too. Breakfast was perfection: high quality, varied, lovely cooked element, home made jams, in a beautiful dining room. Such a nice friendly couple. A great though brief stay.

Our four- night stay at Mitchelcroft B & B was an absolute delight. Hosts Debbie & Michael are a most charming couple and the accommodation they offer is delightful. The property is located in quiet countryside that offers stunning views of fields and hills and hedgerows.||The Hembury room was bright and spacious with all the amenities we could ask for. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Our get-away was very peaceful and relaxing. ||We would highly recommend Mitchelcroft B & B.

We always return to Mitchelcroft when we're in Devon, it's one of our favourite places to stay. ||The location is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. From the little enclosed deck outside Hembury you can sit and enjoy the view over the rolling hills, listening to the sheep and the birds (and nothing else). You can see the same view lying in the bed, which is particularly lovely first thing in the morning. ||The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have lots of little extra touches like the cooler with fresh milk and water, and cake on the tea tray at the end of each day. ||The breakfasts are also superb, with that same amazing view from the room where it is served. ||The warm welcome makes you feel like you're staying with friends, right from the first visit and nothing is too much trouble. Due to the pandemic and life in general it had been 5 years since our last stay, but we definitely won't be leaving it so long next time (hopefully!) ||We highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed.

My aunt Rene had a perfect stay here whilst visiting family. Debbie and Michael were so welcoming and made her feel very comfortable and she had a delicious breakfast each morning. Super clean room with modern amenities own patio with view over the fields. Thanks for everything and the lovely sandwich and cake for the journey home.

Mitchelcroft is an excellent B&B with faultless provision and amenities on the edge of Dartmoor and perfect for a range of beautiful walks. Each comfortable room has its own private seating outside area and the bathroom is very well equipped. We had a lovely break and Debbie and Michael were great hosts and made us feel totally relaxed. One evening we tried the platters available ( Mediterranean and Vegetarian) and they were so good. This was our first visit and we will return for more Dartmoor walks.

I can’t rate this b&b high enough. An oasis of calm after the chaos of the last year. Lots of luxurious touches like huge Egyptian cotton towels, a soft facecloth to remove your makeup, a beautiful big shower, fresh milk in a cooler box and the most amazing lemon drizzle cake. A really comfortable bed and amazing breakfasts. Don’t miss out on Debbies’ Platters they are simply delicious. It was so peaceful sitting on the decking outside our room watching the meadow grasses whisper in the breeze, we even spotted a barn owl. Debbie and Michael are the loveliest hosts and printed out a couple of fantastic road trips for us. We stayed 3 nights and wished we had more time there.

We've just stayed 4 nights at Mitchelcroft and can't praise it enough. It's a totally perfect base to explore Dartmoor and beyond and just oozes comfort and gorgeousness. The lovely rooms have divine views and everything you could possibly need, the breakfasts are superb, and Debbie and Michael's generous and warm hospitality fill every corner of the place. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts ... we are already planning our next visit!
