Very disappointed. Travelled by train today to enjoy the apparently excellently rated Ploughmans lunch.|||| Unfortunately, I found the pub shut due to a private function. There was no mention of this on the pub website nor anywhere I could find on the Web. ||||By the rather permanent notice placed outside, this is a common occurrence||||Please advertise these closures clearly on your website to avoid potential customers wasting time and money.

What a great find. Wanted a nice place to stop for lunch and struck lucky here. Pretty boring selection but what we had was really very good. The ploughman's lunch was beautifully presented and the Cheesecake was truly fabulous. A nice change to have sunny weather and sit out in their lovely beer garden. I would recommend here if you're in the area.

I often stop off here on a Friday after work, The staff are lovely, the beer is fab.
I've yet to try the food but plan on coming back with family. Well worth giving it a go. Just a few mins off the A 37.

Visited on a Saturday night (recommend booking as all tables were full). Not a large menu but lots of lovely food. We had the fish dish, which was cod, and a steak. Both were delicious. The puddings were amazing too. Great food and good service. Would definitely recommend

We went here for lunch, 13 pensioners. Since Covid there has been a limited menu for lunch but we all agreed the food was excellent. The puddings were particularly good. If, like me, you like skinny chips you will love these, they were divine. The staff were lovely and helpful as well. ||||We meet up once a month and ask ourselves “would we come back?” The answer was “we most definitely would”.
