We booked this restaurant three weeks in advance. We were there to celebrate two birthdays and two achievements. When we turned up, we quickly found out that our table had been given to another group that when asked are you the party of ‘X’ said yes. Apparently, it was somehow our problem! The other group wasn’t asked to leave, they told us there was nothing they could do. When we questioned the situation they told us to go to the pub and pop back later to see if a table may be available, but they couldn’t guarantee it. When we declined that idea they reluctantly offered us to be seated, but we only had 50 min before they needed the table back. It was very clear that they didn’t want to deal with the situation and they had a full restaurant, they were getting paid regardless, so they didn’t care and just wanted us to leave. Luckily the Greek restaurant next door took pity on us when we explained the situation and made room for us on a busy Saturday night!
In this economy, going out is a luxury and it’s not something we do often. For us it was to celebrate and it was something we had look forward to. My advice is, if your meal means something special, book somewhere that values that!

I can’t rate the food or atmosphere as we were turned away from the restaurant despite having booked a table 3 weeks earlier. The restaurant messed up and gave our table away. Now mistakes can happen but it was the lack of accountability and the attempt to make it our problem. They offered us one table for just an hour (not enough for a party of 6 out for a birthday celebration). They refused to try anything else. So we went next door to the lovely Greek taverna where the food, atmosphere and service were excellent. This Italian could have ruined our evening where we were celebrating 2 birthdays and 2 significant achievements. The table was given away because another party claimed they were us. The restaurant did not fully check. If you are attempted to book I suggest you triple check, arrive very early (note we did arrive before our time). If you don’t want to book, looks like you can just pretend to be someone else and the poor people who did book will be asked to leave.

Stunning authentic Italian food with a great range to choose from. The fact it’s so busy at midday on a Sunday tells you that this place is great. They knew many customers by their first name so obviously people know a good thing when they taste it!

The staff are very friendly and talkative and also very funny. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working there and it really does make a difference. Such a great accidental find but we will definitely be back soon.

If you are looking for a restaurant to mark a special occasion or you just want to treat yourself I thoroughly recommend Alberello's. The menu is quite comprehensive and everything we had was excellent in presentation and preparation.
I like to engage with the waiters. They made the evening for us making us feel like long lost friends. We will certainly be returning.

Would defiantly give these guys a go. Fantastic food, friendly service can’t do enough for you. May be old interior but fantastic all round. Don’t have to be dressy either can go in whatever attire suits you the staff are relaxed. Would definitely recommend ?

The food here is amazing, proper traditional Italian cuisine but the atmosphere at Alberello is just as amazing. All the staff a friendly, they make you feel at home and have a great sense of humour, you come out of here feeling great. This is a very special place, I urge anyone to come here?
