The hotel is very welcoming, and close to the hoe. Staff are very approachable and friendly. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, and the area is quiet so we had a good night's sleep. There was just one niggle, and it does say on the menu there could be a 15 minute wait for breakfast as its cooked fresh, but we had which seemed like a 40 minute wait which we didn't expect. When it did arrive it was lovely and we enjoyed it so it made up for the wait. |Certainly would recommend.

A fantastic place, and a 5 minute walk from the Barbican. Very clean and the room was a good size, quiet with a huge comfy bed. Breakfast was incredible, I don't think I've ever been served so much salmon before. |I can't compliment the staff enough, so friendly, helpful and maked the experience. I took my elderly dog, I think she lot pampered and loved, like she was family.

Fantastic hotel Kevin and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Room was lovely and clean, breakfast was fantastic and food freshly cooked. Honestly the best hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time. We will definitely be staying again.

This is our second time staying at Invicta. Our main reason for returning was the exceptional service from staff (Ken and the team), and the wonderful atmosphere and quality of their breakfast! ||We chose a 1st floor room this time, which was cosy, clean and with a contemporary homely aesthetic. ||The beds were so comfy (as with our first stay), we had bath robes in our room this time round and despite missing breakfast Ken and the team wonderfully allowed us to have some coffee and yogurt. BIG THANK YOU - as we both very much needed it. ||I would highly recommend their cooked breakfast (and am sure will not be missing it next time). ||The vibe of the hotel suites family, friends and couple stays - and I am looking forward to booking a stay in the new year with my family!

When booking we looked at the different options available and decided to upgrade to a super king suite, the room we booked was not that! So much so that we had to go back to reception to ask them to check we’d been assigned the correct room, unfortunately, we had! The carpets, blinds and bed sheets were all stained, the room was pokey and the bathroom was like an 80’s throwback with a very temperamental shower. The room said it had a ‘courtyard view’ what it means is ‘overlooks the car park’. Location was good and the dining staff were very friendly though. At £136 off peak we felt this was grossly overpriced. Wouldn’t stay again and definitely question the scores on here!

Room looked nice, and the view was pretty good. The wall when you walk into room 33 is on a slant due to being in the roof, slightly vertigo inducing the very first time but fine after that. The shower was an absolute joke, absolutely no water pressure at all, I have very little hair and still struggled to wash off the shampoo and body wash. The TV was pretty poor as well picture went from ok to unwatchable regularly. Breakfast was ok half the choices weren't available but the gentleman serving was very helpful and polite. The receptionist was also lovely. 2 minute walk from the Hoe which was nice though.

Exceptional hospitality from all staff and incredibly accommodating. Felt safe and the beds were very comfortable.

Breakfast was well presented and cooked well with decent portions sizes.
