Book directly through their website as cheaper than other sites eg booking.com|We arrived Friday 28th, bonus free parking if you are a staying guest unlike other hotels in the area, good fresh breakfast served 8-10am with your basic fry up, cereals and toast, comfy beds with the rooms clean and tidy and spacious, general cleanliness throughout, a bit tired in places ie decor and general maintenance. Overall good price. In the rush hour times of day the hotel rooms at the front can be a little noisy but this didn’t bother us. It was an easy check in and check out, no waiting etc. bar/restaurant/check in area very clean. Hotel staff are helpful and helped us with recommendations of where to eat. The curry land takeaway just down from the hotel was amazing, but the hotel was more than happy to give us some plates and cutlery. It’s roughly 15 min walk into town but then you are paying cheaper prices so it’s worth the walk. Taxis always available the hotel offered to book us one however bolt or uber was cheaper on this occasion. We did have a slight issue with our room but spoke to Danny the manager and issue was resolved within a few days. Would we think about staying here again? Potentially yes if we couldn’t get closer to town for a similar price. However if you book directly with them they will give you a discount code for a return date. Most hotels I know don’t offer this. Small, friendly and not corporate.

I had the pleasure of being one of the hosts a workshop at the Queensgate Hotel & Conference Centre and I couldn’t be more delighted with the experience. The staff were exceptionally professional, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Their support was invaluable from start to finish.

The facilities were spotless, well-maintained, and created the perfect environment for a productive and inspiring event. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high standard of service and cleanliness provided.

I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming place to hold workshops or events. I’ll definitely be returning!

Hotel was ideally placed as it is only a short walk from the city.

The owner was friendly and professional.

The room itself was well priced although basic but had everything you needed.

I did find that there was quite a bit of dust on the head board of the bed and it was a bit too warm in the room. The mattress I did find to be a bit uncomfortable.

I did notice a strange smell in the hallway as you come in from the front entrance.

Attended for our work Christmas party. Room was set out well, tables were set nice, got the Christmas feel. The selection of drinks at the bar was terrible. The staff didn't have a clue what they was serving and it was like they was all new and untrained. 3 bottles of wine on the table included in the package which was good, they happily swapped a red for another rose. Food was terrible. Soup was barely warm, 2 on our table was given soup with no bread on the side. Mains.... vegetables and roast potatoes came out first in centre of the table...veg looking about 10 days old. Roast potatoes very oily, no flavour, some uncooked some edible. Plates served a good 5 minutes after. 1 burnt stuffing ball, 1 cold Yorkshire pudding, 1 parsnip (best thing on the plate) 1 sausage wrapped in bacon, 2 slices of beef (fatty and not edible, bleeding and not even able to cut it) others on the table had beef and it seemed better than what I had. Some had turkey which seemed OK. Very slow in serving the food, staff just darting around like their panicking. No condiments offered. Dessert... definitely looked the best. Cheesecake looked pretty and tasted ok others said. I had Cheese and crackers. Crackers stale, no butter offered, slice of apple and couple of grapes and 3 selections of cheese.
Disco saved the night. The DJ was good. Good selection of music and he also took requests.
I know you get what you pay for and the price per head was reasonable but I would not recommend this place.

Attended an event for which an organiser hired a meeting room at the hotel. The staff were kind, professional and accommodating. Halfway through our meeting when we had a problem connecting laptop to the screen, the manager made a different room available for us, where we could connect to a bigger screen.

I booked a one-night stay (without breakfast) online directly with the hotel rather than with another booking sight, a friend had recommended it as a budget option close to the city centre.||The staff were very welcoming and friendly and my single ensuite room was very clean and perfect for one night. The location was also excellent for public transport with just a short walk away from bus stops.||The hotel offers a little restaurant and breakfast options as well, which I didn't have the chance to test (although the breakfast did smell nice when I left in the morning).||I recommend the hotel for people, who needs a lower-budget option for a stay near the centre of Peterborough.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Queensqate hotel. The receptionist Sofia was very attentive and went out of her way to ensure that my stay at the hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with nice interior and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options! Nothing was too much trouble!

We went for a pre-booked Christmas meal, just 10 in the party. We were the only ones there. It wasn't long before we found out why.

The food was inedible. We sent the prawn starter back it was off, but the response was that it was only delivered yesterday. It wasn't off, but they would offer us an alternative. The bread was stale and soup luke warm. When the main course came out, the gravy and vegetables were put out first we had to wait a while for the plates with food on, so no surprise the veg was barley warm, the Brussels so hard you couldn't eat them, cauliflower inedible, with the carrots only thing we could eat. I had beef, it was so tough I couldn't eat it, the roast potatoes were very overcooked, and the giant Yorkshire pudding was the only edible thing on the plate. They didn't have horseradish. They advertised roast beef they should have all the condiments. Thankfully, the pudding was edible. I have never come away from a 3 course meal hungry.
I don't normally write reviews, but this was so bad I wouldn't want anyone else to have that experience.
