We had to find a room at short notice for a friend which was close to town and came across Clarks Guest House. The management were very welcoming and relaxed. We collected the key from the Swiss Cottage the small but again welcoming pub. This was only a minute away. The room was clean and had its own shower. The bedding again looked new and was spotless. There was tea coffee in the room and TV. It is small but for the price and cleanliness and close location to town was fantastic value for money. I read a negative review on here and to be honest they can't have stayed at the same place or they need to go to spec savers. We will definitely stay again thanks guys for a warm welcome!|

I was fortunate that there was a room available for the one night. OK, if you want a large fancy bedroom with a large fancy en-suite; this is not the place for you. Clarks is comfortable, the bedrooms are clean and a reasonable size, the bathroom small but very useable and the price is really, really reasonable. I had phoned and the owner had my mobile number and so texted me the instructions on how to collect keys. There is a car park that is fairly secure as this is gated each evening.|I walked to the cathedral in the morning, and this took me - at fairly normal pace - about 8 minutes, and the same for the shopping centre. There is also a nice park just across the road from Clarks.|The arrangements for breakfast were ideal for me on a gluten-free diet. The dining room is 'do it yourself'. Bread, cereals, toaster, tea bags, coffee and kettle are all available, and the fridge in the adjacent kitchen is well stocked with butter, milk and various jams and marmalades. Just get on with it!|I found my short stay very comfortable, and should I find I have to visit Peterborough again, will definitely stay here.

Picked the keys up from 2mins down the road, as described, had no issues finding the place. The guesthouse is in a great location - we walked into the city centre every day. Super friendly whenever we saw James or Ang or the Clark's staff and we felt very comfortable asking them if we needed anything. The place is self-contained / help-yourself which we liked as we cooked in the kitchen a few nights, and had late breakfasts most morning. Bed was comfortable and has own bathroom and toilet. This place is everything you want and need in a guesthouse in Peterborough, in a great location, and at a great price.

6 of us took over the main guest house for a one night stay, and although basic, it was perfect for our needs.|The keys need to be picked up from the pub further down the road (not a bad place to enjoy a pint after a long drive) and then the guesthouse is back down the road with ample off-street parking.|It's not the most modern of places, but clean and tidy with lots of storage, the standard amenities, and comfy beds - what more can you want for such a low price!?!?|Add the short walk into the city, and a newsagents, supermarket and takeaway opposite, the location is great. I will definitely stay again if I find myself in this neck of the woods and can cope a night or 2 without being in the lap of luxury.

We stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend. The guest house is in a great location, close to the city centre. James is very welcoming and a great host. There are a few nice pubs close by, selling a selection of real ales and great ciders. The Yard of Ale is worth a visit as almost on the door step and has live music at the weekends.

Am so pleased with my stay at this bnb. It's the 2nd time staying here and I couldn't be happier. Good value for money and a cosy and private environment which is perfect for kids also. I will be returning when I visit the uk. Am sold! Highly recommended to all! 🙂
