This was an unplanned (and unwanted) stay after a car crash left us carless 300 miles from home.

Throughout our stay the front desk staff were sympathetic and helpful, going beyond expectations to make our visit as painless as possible.

Three hours before we were due to check-out we realised we would probably need to stay for a second night. The front desk found a way to provisionally reserve rooms for a second night without having to pay if we did not need them, while apologising that we would have to move to new rooms.

When it became obvious we did need the second night they had new rooms availble for us to move into immediately. They managed to change the text on our invoice for the rooms so that it would be obvious (to our insurance company) that the invoice covered two rooms for one night.

When we finally checked out, we needed the same changes made to the invoice for the second night. The staff on duty at the time did not know how to do this but solved the problem by finding the staff member who had made the change the previous day to come and teach them how to make the changes. They seemed to regard this as great learning experience while providing an excellent service.

The bar/restaurant staff all seemed to be having fun and behaved as if part of their job was to make sure the guests were enjoying themselves as well. The bar staff also had the very appreciated ability to remember preferences and room numbers.

The kitchen menu is varied and it was obvious the chef has more than the usual microwave available and knows how to prepare good food.

It is impossible to single out any member of staff - they were all friendly and helpful.

The overall experience was impressive and we will make changes to our holiday plans so we stay at this hotel again at the start and end of our holiday this year.

We stayed one night and received excellent customer service and care. The hotel is clean and well set out. The bed was extremely comfortable. We paid a bit extra for an executive room which was extremely spacious. (The complimentary mini-bar was essentially a fridge with water and a couple of biscuits). The on-site restaurant was superb in terms of service, food options, presentation and taste.

Holiday Inn Huntingdon is a great place to stay if you need somewhere convenient to access the A1 and A14. The hotel is well appointed, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are bright and are equipped with everything you need.

The hotel was quiet at the time I stayed, so breakfast was cooked to order, which is a lovely touch. I ordered poached eggs, which were cooked by a chef who knows how to make them perfectly.

Reception staff are always very friendly and welcoming and keen to ensure that a stay is enjoyed. IHG One Rewards Status was recognised at check in, with upgraded room and welcome amenity provided.

Well located in a peaceful setting but close to major road links. The staff here are really helpful and want to ensure a great stay for their guests. Guest rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the public areas stylish and practical. Restaurant offers good food and friendly service. I would certainly return. Chloe and Barbara are great ambassadors for this hotel.

My 'go to' Hotel when in the area. Quiet, comfortable rooms, good facilities and a small but well appointed Gym. Great food, which is reasonably priced and staff are polite, knowledgeable and always happy to help with whatever is needed. In an excellent location just off of the A1 with links into Norfolk and Suffolk, I see no reason to stay anywhere else.

Chose to stay here for business as competitive pricing vs a competitor which we have an account with.

Despite asking for assistance at reception the air conditioning was not working correctly and hence had a very cold room. Reception told me they had changed a setting and all should be fine but still nothing.

I informed reception again in the morning but no apology.

When checking in there was no info given about breakfast times, where the gym was etc..

breakfast was buffet and Luke warm at best. Hash browns were cold.

Evening staff in the restaurant were great.

Surprised at breakfast to be told a latte was extra money if I wanted one.

Won’t be here again which is a shame as generally always enjoyed other holiday inn visits elsewhere.

The hotel is clean and comfortable in every aspect. Food menu I feel is a good selection. Breakfast buffet is vast although I would have preferred access to a coffee machine rather than being served a standard pot. Not sure about the cereals being so open. Seating area is pleasant. Decor is good. Loved the huge horse on the wall. We enjoyed the very small gym as it was not intimidating. Parking is great. Most of the staff are friendly. Hospitality staff did enter the room unexpectedly which was a bit awkward.

I booked this hotel , as I was attending a race meeting at Huntington Racecourse and this hotel couldn't be any closer, overlooking the course and 150 metres from the enterance, with free parking.|The hotel is isolated outside of Huntingdon, around 2.5 miles away and 1 mile from village of Brampton.|Check-in was smooth and I was dealt with very professionally and in a really welcoming manner.|Standard quality room I expect from this hotel group. Lovely large comfy bed, large tv, ample coffe/tea, clean and tidy shower room with plenty of hot water.Not a big fan of ajoining rooms, unfortunately I could hear the occupants yawning amongst other noises from next door, only here for one night, so tolerated it.|Normally I tend to eat out but due to the location,I decided to eat in the open bar/restaurant area and once again I had a friendly welcome from the two staff present. There was a reduced menu operating, I choose parsnip and apple soup, starter, followed by chicken,ham and leek pie and mash, both were tasty and enjoyable.The was a reasonable selection of decent priced drinks available.|As I had a early start,I didn't have breakfast, at check-out I had a friendly 'safe journey home'.
