This is the second time I've had the absolute pleasure of staying at Cambridgshire Lakes. This stay was in Trinity, which, in my opinion, is possibly the best positioned lodge. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the daily stresses dissolve to nothing and your breathing changes as you relax!|The bedrooms are amazing!! So comfortable and stylish. Beds are so comfortable, and the views from both bedrooms are gorgeous! Add in the the en suite bathrooms and you will have the perfect space to start and end the day! The showers are incredible!!|To the living space, large, light and again fitted out in a very stylish way in keeping with the whole feel of the lodge. The TV is a bonus, but most evenings on the sofas were watching the wildlife out the window!|The kitchen is so well kitted out, you'll need for nothing if you are more for a self catering stay.|We were incredibly lucky with the weather on our stay, so on the decking at the table and chairs, or in the hot tub, the whole experience was amazing!! You will probably also name the ducks/geese that come and keep an eye on you!! The peace and quiet is an absolute tonic to modern life!!|All in all, I don't think I could ever want for anything more at CL! It was an absolute pleasure again, and massive credit to Jemma and the CL team for providing such a special, magical and beautiful space!|Can't wait until the next visit!!||During our visit we did a couple of trips which were great:|IWM Duxford - approx. 45 mins away / a good 4 hour visit - Fantastic museum for all things aviation!|Wimpole House - approx 30 mins away / 3-4 hour visit|Gardens / House / Farm - A National Trust site, with beautiful gardens (had to use imagination as we were a little early in the season), farm (the pigs were the stars), and house. Fortunately the whole house was open on our visit, but a fascinating history and a beautiful house.||Also, the fish and chip shop in Potton was great, and a recommendation from Jemma at CL was the Red House at Longstowe (20 mins away) which was great quality traditional pub menu.

We stayed in Fitzwilliam between 30th December 24 to 3rd Jan 25. There was myself, my husband, 2 children aged 14 and 9 and our 2 cockapoos, Due to us having an awful 2024 we wanted to end 2024 and start 2025 somewhere completely new and this place was amazing, it was everything and more that we wanted,the Cabin was so spacious and clean and they had thought of everything for a comfortable stay Inc dishwasher, hairdryer, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, The beds were super comfy, the baths were lovely and deep, the hot tub was amazing and warm and we loved sitting in there watching the sun set, the views of the lake throughout the day are so nice. The dogs enjoyed there little strolls around the lakes, We are already planning on coming back and cannot wait already, perfect for a relaxing break as a family or in a couple, Was beautiful 💖

I have just completed a 2 week stay here and as someone who travels for work half of the year staying in different locations, this has to be up there with one of the best, the lodges have everything you could possibly need, It is a home from home with the added luxury of the views and tranquility you are surrounded by.
I met some of the on site staff who are all extremely friendly and the hosts are brilliant at ensuring you have everything you need during your stay.
I look forward to returning next time I need accommodation in this area.

This was our 6th visit to Cambridgeshire Lakes, it is truly beautiful. We spend a long weekend enjoying the luxury lodge, the hot tub, the stars, sunset and the cosiness of being inside when the weather is wild outside. The minute we arrive we can feel ourselves relax and simply ‘be’. There is a walk through the woods to the local village, with a couple of pubs, and a big Tesco nearby for shopping, but that is the extent of our exploration as the draw for us is simply unwinding. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful lodge, very well equipped and clean. We were welcomed with a Christmas tree and a welcome gift and the owners are very responsive if you need anything. ||We had a lovely weekend - thank you so much Jemma and Charlie. ||Loved the lodge, the lake, the geese and the ducks. Loved the hot tub, the Christmas tree and the log fire. We had a delightful, cozy weekend, away from the hustle and bustle and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. We will be back!

We decided to have a long weekend away at Cambridgeshire Lakes following the glowing comments and amazing pictures from our son who went there in December as a treat from his wife for his 40th birthday.||It certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations.|St John's Lodge was amazing and luxurious. The setting by the lake is beautiful and tranquil.|The CL team seemed to have thought of virtually everything.||Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the birds on the lake was serene.||We will definitely be going back!

What an amazing place! I booked it for a weekend away for my husbands 40th birthday, and it was also our first trip away as a family of four (we have a 6 year old and an 8 month year old), and it was everything and more. ||Everything was thought of, our shopping was unpacked and everything was sparkling clean which was very reassuring as our baby is crawling everywhere.||We didn’t want to leave and we want to come back again already! ||I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone and everyone.
