We stayed 14-16 March. Beautiful old hotel with lovely views of the sea. The hotel is dated but the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The owner Justin was extremely helpful and friendly. The sitting room has a fish tank and comfy sofas. We enjoyed our stay and left feeling relaxed and chilled.

Only downfall for us was the Second Gentleman had the same clothes on for the three days we were there. This kind of makes him appear unclean and for me was important as he seemed to be doing various roles including serving food.

I met the owner about a year ago and he is a front of house man, funny warm and friendly. The hotel has that feel throughout. I would recommend anyone to come here. This hotel has the charm and warmth of a well run hotel. Something you would come back to again and again.

I am down here whilst my place is being sorted. Here for 2 weeks also. I chose this hotel for being right by the front and a stones throw away from the beach. The hotel itself is quaint and inviting and love the fishtank upon entering the hotel. My room is warm and inviting and adequate for my stay. The bed is comfortable and a good tv too. The owner is friendly and great to chat to too. On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel for staying any time of the year.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
I booked two rooms for myself and a builder friend to work on a house in Caister.approx £1000. We are stuck here for another week as had to pay up front.
The man here running it for the owner( I tried to contact the owner with my issues, two days in, no response) is unfortunately suffering from some disability and is unapproachable .
The breakfast on the first day was luke warm and half of what I had ordered was missing, I was told the mushrooms and tomatoes had not been delivered.
The toilet in my room is so loose it is dangerous, I waited three days for a change of towels, the room has not been cleaned or swept since we have been here, 8 days so far. My colleagues room is freezing cold, the bathroom door is hanging off, he has to keep his foot against the shower door as it is non functional, all this has been conveyed to the man who is supposedly in charge with no resolution.This "hotel" is also charging extra daily for room cleaning and towel change.
I have photo evidence of all of this complaint, and when our stay here is finished will be seeking legal advice.

Justin was a great host, we got on great, even getting a hug on my departure. he is doing the place up and he is doing a great job.my room was comfortable and clean and i have no complaints. only a 10 min walk into town and opposite the waterways so was nice and quiet during the evening and night, would recommend to anyone

Lovely little hotel oozing with character. Room more than adequate for my needs, clean and comfortable. Manager an absolute diamond nothing was too much trouble, made me feel very welcome. I would 100% recommend the Gable End to anyone wanting to stay in a prime location in the lovely costal town of Great Yarmouth.

Very nice hotel. The owner so friendly. Room is clean and looks nice, has everything you need for your stay. Close walk to the beach. We booked standart room but the owner changed for seaview deluxe room, for free. Breakfast its so good. Definely will back again to this hotel. The best hotel in Norfolk.

Quaint old B and B, in need of some decoration, but clean. Owner has been there a year and is getting round to overhauling. Bedroom was quiet, warm and had everything needed for my one night business stay. TV and WiFi worked well, as did the shower. A warm welcome on arrival and again on departure. Breakfast was a standard affair, cereals and full English of good quality. My only gripe, was on returning from a meal in town, the bar area was closed. Enough parking on site and nearby streets. Right on the seafront, next to the recently refurbished Venetian Gardens, and only a five minute walk to town and attractions.
